Fraud/Theft Nightforce Scopes

Wow a lot of quebec haters around here, i shouldn't have purchased my vortex razor gen ll from Grouse River, i exposed them to my province of corruption and deceipt.

By the way, my worst EE deal gone bad was from a s***head from hamilton ontario, but still love you guys south of the border I won't put you all in the same boat.

I see Laval come up often in these scams, there is definitely a corrupt circle of purchase and resell in that area

There has been several scams of retailers on this site from the Laval area..... and us ontarians are not south of the border.....lol

It's a joke with all my Ottawa friends.
I'm 20 minutes north of Ottawa, hence north/south of the border.

If i was an online retailer, i'd be scared to sell CC right now.
As a plumbing retailer/installer, i took all the CC machines out a few years ago, too expensive to run and operate, and since i cater mostly to general contractors, private sales can afford to be lost if they don't like the fact our shop doesn't carry CC machines.

Something definitely needs to be done, this year and the last was Laval, next year could be anywhere. Scumbags are everywhere.

Scumbags are everywhere. I've had so many issues with my credit card and people trying to use its number. I've had 6 cards cancelled in the last two years.

Unfortunately, very common. They seem to send them to an unoccupied building.

The card companies generally lump everything on the merchant as a marketing tool to shield the card holders from fraud.

Yep, and for that reason I see some merchants no longer accepting credit cards for phone/online orders, preferring methods such as EMT.

As a merchant, myself the 3% fees pooped my out big time.
New home contruction, cost average 8000$ in plumbing, having 3% taken out, was a huge deal in this competitive market.
Considering i never made more than 6-7% net these past 2 years due to competition and rising costs.

Yep, so as a purchaser, remember the use of your card is costing the retailer 3% at the other end.
OK for big box retailers, mom and pop shops do see a difference in income.
And now that the retailer takes all the fraud risk, the CC companies would deserve people start massing dropping them.

The last purchase I made was paid via online banking "bill payment". The downside is that it took a couple days to complete (like any other online bill payment), but it was simple and seemingly secure. I liked it because it was sent to a verified company, as opposed to "MikeInCanmore@Hotmail.Com" like an EMT.

Not all of the fraud risk, if it is a chip/pin verified transaction it goes back to the CC company.

It's quite the racket they have themselves. +/- 3% per transaction on the merchant, +/- 2% per month per transaction on 50% of those transactions since the average person doesn't pay off every month.

All for offering "short term financing". Toss in the annual fees, additional cardholder fees, offering 1.5% back isn't even an expense with what it returns.

Ya the 1% make it bad for the other 99% of us true and honest people who love to hunt. Kinda makes me want to catch and force them face their crimes!! They WILL eventually get their just deserts.

I wish the law would apply as to what me ole man told me ever since I could understand ingrish.
I ever catch you stealing, I'll cut yer f***ing fingers off.

That's all I needed..............:sok2

Hmmm that's a good point. Do stolen/fraudulent items get flagged by nightforce?

It would be just deserts if something failed and they were denied warranty because it was purchased illegally

Only problem with that is if some good person bought that scope and had no idea it was stolen. I have bought scopes off the ee and never check any serial numbers

"Washing" an item via one or more 'honest' transactions, does not void the fact that it is stolen property & there is a victim who is due their property or payment for that property.
