Frustrating last few visits

The OP did get to look through the binoculars outside like he requested and he was able to refund the scope rings he bought and was given store credit (that he could have used to buy the rings he thought were the correct ones in the first place).

Byron's complaints and this whole thread is much ado about nothing.

The matter of looking outside with the binos was not the issue. The issue is the employee was breathing on me with hands at the ready.
The scope rings were not refunded to me initially. I had to request an superior and plead my case to even have them issue me store credit.

Do I need to draw it out?

'you had to plead your case' - did you include in your plea the part that you chose to go for ring height based on incomplete information (for the height of the base which you didn't have)?
Did your plea include admitting lack of critical thinking on your part and hinge it a little bit on hoping they would have mercy on someone that is mentally deficient?


You see, I too have made plenty of mistakes in choosing stuff like ring heights, bases and even magazines - at this store - and several others to boot.
The difference between you and I is that I owned my mistakes and asked for a refund/store credit and I never felt the need to come onto the forum and b!tch about how this or any other store handled the situation.

You're surprised someone wouldn't let you walk out the door with a pair of high end binoculars unsupervised given the high amount of retail theft? I bet the employee would be on the hook if you walked away with them. It would take a long time at minimum wage to pay for them.

Yes I'm surprised. Especially if I am leaving my wallet and keys with them.
