lets look at what we can actually see here:
Rifle
- front and rear buis
- aimpoint
- light
- rail covers
- sling
This does not appear to be overly done in any way.
Vest rig
- one combo rifle/pistol mag pouch
- one OC pouch - maybe mandated by law to carry it - or it could be a DD pouch
- something that appears to be an admin pouch (to the right of the OC pouch)
- ITW fast mag on side
- double cuff pouch
- first aid kit
- dump pouch with water bottle
- PTT for radio
- this is only his left side - we cannot discuss right side for obvious reasons.
Regarding the active killer load out - no water can be fool hardy - everyone assumes that this type of event may be over in 3-5 mins. reality says otherwise. I am aware of warrants that went down in a US local where tactical officers doing the warrant were going for 8-10 hours. issues that came up - need for multiple loads of spare light batteries, multiple refills on water bladders, sustenance for energy, etc.
A lot of comments are being made on a simple picture with no back ground info and no other angles available. We dont even know the agency from what we can see or the call or even the officer's posting. is he on a tactical team? is this a training day, training call out, active killer, warrant service, etc.
