Several dealers have these coming in and while Wolverine may have sold out their first run allotment it's possible some of the other dealers may still have some available in their first allocation. You would have to call around to find out if their are any in this situation.

Our FX9 will have the factory flitted 18.7 inch and be non restricted and come direct from the manufacture with full warranty. If dealers have them ordered from Wolverine that is what they will be receiving. I can't comment on any "Grey market" imports that may be coming in sooner with the restricted barrel.

so I just got voicemail from Wolverine with an update. The VM says they are now expecting shipments in October.....which i'm OK with.
The other piece of news is that due to 'increased costs' ie tariffs, material costs, exchange rate, etc the price is going up to $1049 (+$150 over previous quoted price). Pre-order people are being given the option of backing out. I have to think hard about whether I want it bad enough to warrant the price increase.

Well this is a unpleasant turn of events (I'm starting to think of another pre-order that went haywire, not Wolverine related), I would like to see Wolverine confirm this statement before I provide any real reaction to this.
I had a phone call half an hour ago informing me of the price increase. I cancelled my order. Why did I put money down to preorder this rifle if it doesn't even secure it for me at the advertised price?! Complete BS in my opinion. First time I've been wronged by Wolverine and definitely the last time I preorder anything from them.
