We delaying answering on this thread until we had been able to call all the customers involved. We did not know that we would have to wait well over a year to obtain product or we would never had accepted orders with deposits in the first place, unfortunately we got caught out on this due to circumstances outside of our control.

Anyone wishing to cancel their order will get a full cash refund, not a store credit and we will not charge any admin fee, it is the best we can do in the circumstances.

All we can do is offer our apologies.

First Class Act as usual..... keep up the good work Mr Hipwell !

definitely disappointed in the fact that the preorder does nothing but put you in the "q" for a rifle. I asked if the bottom drops out of our dollar then what. I will confirm I stood by my end of the contract and kept my spot in the "q"

so I just got voicemail from Wolverine with an update. The VM says they are now expecting shipments in October.....which i'm OK with.

The other piece of news is that due to 'increased costs' ie tariffs, material costs, exchange rate, etc the price is going up to $1049 (+$150 over previous quoted price). Pre-order people are being given the option of backing out. I have to think hard about whether I want it bad enough to warrant the price increase.

Just got the call from Wolverines with the same answer and they said the first 100 rifles will be in October and anything after that will be sometime in december/ winter :(

Why not offer us free shipping for those of us that pre-ordered to deal with wait and increased cost

What really bugs me is the original estimate for delivery of these rifles was July/August time frame, which is now. So if Freedom Ordnance had ANY intention at all of meeting that time frame all of the materials would have already been ordered and most of the rifles would have been complete or at least a good way to being completed. Obviously this is not the case and F. O. has found themselves in a pickle and is transferring the cost onto the customer. This speaks a lot about the company and how it is run and I am not sure this is a company I want to deal wtih.

have all customers been called?

How is this being a class act? A class act move would be to honor the preorder price for all of us that have been waiting for months and raise the price for all future orders. This stuff shouldnt be tolerated. It would be a totally different story if they didn't make us put money down for the preorders in the first place.

^^ This^^ says it all IMHO.
A 16.5% price increase for what justification? This company should have had ample supplies in house if they ever intended to produce the rifles by the original promise date.
So a $150 price increase actually translates into $170 once the taxman gets his cut here in Ontario.
Feels like a raw deal all around regardless of how you spin it.

I believe I read a post in another thread about a CGN'r who had paid in full for 2 rifles. Seems to me that a binding contact was completed in that situation. Everyone who put down a deposit in good faith are no different IMHO.

Shoot straight - chrisco

Imagine you paid a down payment on a house or car and they came back and told you that they're sorry but the new price is actually 16% higher. Oh but you can have your money back that we've been holding onto for 6 months if you want to cancel. The original price should be honored for all preorders. Plain and simple.

I'm going to have to agree. If I ordered this gun six months, ago and it was supposed to be shipped soon, how did the new expensive aluminum make its way into my gun. The tariffs have only been for 2 months and I thought the guns were waiting to clear regulatory hurdles, not waiting to be manufactured. I also get that these wholesale price increases were made by the manufactures/importer. HOWEVER, the decision to pass the WHOLE price increase on to their customers was in the control of the dealers. Even if they were bound by a MSRP price from the importer, concessions could have been made by the dealers/importer to cover the increase as a good faith for purchasing (extra mags or BUIS or ect). These items usually have high margins and would allow the consumer and the dealer to share some of the cost increase. I don't expect a dealer to make a loss but also don't expect the consumer to be responsible to maintain the same dealer margins. Just my 2 cents but I'm not a dealer I guess
