Imagine you paid a down payment on a house or car and they came back and told you that they're sorry but the new price is actually 16% higher. Oh but you can have your money back that we've been holding onto for 6 months if you want to cancel. The original price should be honored for all preorders. Plain and simple.

This is why I don't pre-order guns... Have seen this exact situation play out multiple times.

Original price is never honored and changes.

Im really starting to think preorders are feelers to see how popular a rifle will be and based on the popularity a price increase will follow. 2nd time within a year this happened to me.

I wondered how this was going to play on CGN; as usual, not well. I got a call today from Wolverine re: the delay and appreciated being offered the option to cancel given the unanticipated time delay and price increase. Expecting an importer to take a loss because you made a partial deposit is asinine. I elected to keep my order, if you're not happy please cancel yours so I can get mine faster. YMMV, but I consider Wolverine's testimony in Ottawa and long history of importing new and interesting firearms part of the overhead on a firearm like this and, IMO, its price for a PCC is still reasonable.

My first thought was that I'm glad I'm able to get one of these under the current firearms regulations in Canada. Looking forward to the Conservatives taking over the government in the next election and keeping the Liberals from tightening the screws on Canadian firearms owners again. Being outraged because I'm going to pay what a firearm cost is not even on my radar.

As those above said, pre-orders are fraught with difficulties in Canada. Have had multiple bad experiences as well, only rolled the dice this time because it was Wolverine, anticipated timeframe was short, and it was a partial deposit. As the demand for 18.6" 9mm barrels in the US is so low (who wouldn't rather have 1 16" if it was NR), and PCC's are selling well, I'm disappointed but not surprised that it happened. I think Wolverine's response is fair under the circumstances, which were out of their control. I think the downside of not rolling the dice on pre-orders is that we won't get firearms like this quickly (or potentially at all) if no one's willing to put their money where their mouth is. So many cool black style rifles that are NR lately, biggest problem is trying to figure out where to spend my money.

You sound fairly well adjusted and stable for a guy "with no spine"....... :)

the rumor is: they cannot find a company to make a 9mm 18.6" barrels...... might be a reason for the delay and price jump.... no?

It would be nice to see the accounting on the cost increase for sure..... unfortunately some "people" will seize and opportunity to increase profits..... Wolverine is not one of those "people".... hard to say at the other end.

People should really boycott FO because of this, LOL.

I recall reading that to this day over the same thing with the m10x

Not quite the same thing as far as shifting deals and negotiations with different importers etc... but still another long preorder.

The barrel hassle for non restricted doesn't make it cheaper and easier for American companies willing to ship north into our rather small market.

I have no idea why people keep falling for the pre-order gag?

It's like that guy at work who keeps telling the same joke over and over again.

Me as well.

If that was true why is the WK180-C still at $995.00 when we have sold close to 3.000? I could make a killing!

I would like to thank the vast majority of our customers who have understood the extremely embarrassing situation we have found ourselves in and stood by us. Thank you.

Today has not been a good day for me, I think I will have a pre supper Scotch, cheers.
