g36 stock for 10/22 by archangel

Very nice looking piece of kit, I would trade in my VTR and Tapcoized 10/22 for this in a heartbeat.
 
What's the deal with the magazines? Do they hide a regular 10rd 10/22 mag inside? Are they proprietary? Can they be used in a regular 10/22? What about a 10/22 with another M4 style kit installed. Finally a decent magazine for the 10/22!!

In its orig format, no BUT, it is injection molded plastic so a bit of careful sanding and you can plop that in. I assume the scope base bolt holes are the same?

No clue on the mag. There is no more info on this product yet. However, I know that Promag made a rimfire mag for the normal AR's conversion kits and they make 10/22 mags now.

For them to blend the two would not be out of the question. Look at the pic and you will see how thick the mag is. It looks very promising that this could be a mold over with a conventional 10/22 mag built into it???????

I measured up by Archangle carbine kit and it is bang on my Norc M4 from the grip and buttstock positions. Barrels are also located in very similar positions. A 11.5" barrel is needed to keep from going too short. 12" is a nice safe length.

I have to suspect that the Maruader kit will be very similar in dimensions to the orig G36. With a pinned stock, very short barrels can be used. I will be able to supply.

With a folder, likely 18.5" or thereabouts as was orig said. A straight no taper barrel of 0.70" will be perfect in profile and fit all the AR muzzle gear very nicely.

The waiting is going to be brutal.

Normally I'd agree but I'm playing at putting one together right now (not the archangel but a 1:1 replica) and I'd be suprised if there was 1mm on either side with a stock ruger reciever. The Dlask is meatier all the way round but never say never. Just not likely...;)

The mags should be ok actually. The G36 mag is actually quite fat compared to other offerings(tapco, pmag, etc) and is about the same width as a 10/22. Unless the Archangel comes up with a proprietary mag the 25rders are out due to the banana curve. It needs something closer to a Colt M4 22lr.
 
If the archangle carbine kit is any indicator, the chassis material is made from pretty thick material. A big reason why these kits are so rigid and durable but we will have to get the Maurader to find out for sure.

If Promag does make a G36 looking 10/22 mag, then it should have the construction like the AR 22LR conversion mags where the shape is AR on the outside but a 'normal' banana rimfire mag is buried inside.

Hopefully, they will not just make a display mag and then make us use a normal 10/22 mag for firing. That would look seriously goofy.

Time will tell....

You just may be right. To get the receiver wall thickness to be durable it would have to be thick enough. And to allow the 25rd mag they may have to play with the dimensions a bit(or design thier own which they are full capable of doing). So the result would be it would have the feel, if not the dimensions, of the G36. That might help them get around the copyrighting issues if it's not a 1:1 replica.

I'd buy one any way:D ... there's always room in the safe for the fun stuff!
 
Wow I like that stock for sure. Makes me think about a 10/22. I was going to do the airsoft G36 conversin too but I am holding off to find out more info here. Jerry thanks for looking into this, from what I hear you are a hard driving man making sure the price is god for us the customers. Thanks for teh hard work that goes into this stuff!!!!!!

Promag will go bigger to get as close to full size as possible. They have done this will all their products.

Now we are assuming they haven't set up a trade agreement with the products they are "cloning".

Hard to imagine that M1A stock wouldn't have stirred up a hornets nest if agreements weren't in place. My SWAG would be that JAE agreed to the use of their profile to generate a nice tidy side income (MSRP on this stock is $100 more then all the other Promag products - Why?)

I have no info either way.

I was showing this kit to my friend in texas,and he said it's a nice kit but should wait for review cauz you know,everything promag make is barbage lol

I hope it will have good result,would be nice to have a G36 in 22 lr.
