Changing times, changing values? I have an old style screen chronograph, about 25years old. Still works even though it has a small bullet hole in it.A real pain in the butt to use.Bought a Labradar after that shooting incident. It still works fine. Never thought of these as "investments "so decreasing resale value not a concern to me.Labradar still does the job, but now that I hear it is worthless I'll be using it more since I don't have to worry about breaking it ( sorta the equivalent of a truck/camp gun. ). Old rifles in good condition hold or gain value. Old tech stuff (computers/cell phones, and now chronographs) lose value steadily with time. Methinks we are not in a golden age but the age of junk.

I got mine in Canadian dollars from a Canadian 'Dealer', but I understand what you are talking about. I'll assume they gave the US Distributor exclusive rights for North America.

Question for Canadian Dealers would be - are they buying direct from QC or are they having to buy them from the US Distributor....

What is "scummy" here?

Labradar makes the same chronograph shooters have used for years. Independently of Labradar, Garmin is making new, different chronograph that's smaller, perhaps preferable.

I take it you are unaware that Labradar recently released their new chronograph? It is smaller than the original.

I think Jefferson makes a fair point. Smart for Labradar, bad for their customers.

I was unaware. My apologies to Jefferson.

It seems this new Labradar model, the Labradar LX, is new enough to not yet appear on the regular Labradar website. Elsewhere it is shown as below. It's new enough that it is not expected to be shipped (to dealers?) until later in March. It remains to be seen when it actually is available.

It's quite a bit smaller than the original, but perhaps not as small as the Garmin.

They could have been designed and produced in the same factory, Garmin could just afford to blow more money to get production out first,
Neither of the manufacturers have to disclose it if they don't want to.

Similar to how Sig, Holosun, Primary arms and Vortex all come out of the same plant with different enclosures for their 2 moa Red dots

Where is your evidence for this? It's a bit bold to make such a claim of deception based solely on your emotions, isn't it?

I guess you're not aware of the not-so-deceptive, common knowledge (if you care to look for it) that Labradar has been working on, and will soon release the software update of what you call the obsolete ones, as well as updating the app to address all the problems that their customers have been voicing about the original unit.

So, "obsolete"... no. "Scummy"? Have you any idea what it takes for a small company to compete with a massive one the likes of Garmin? I suppose you might prefer that Labradar didn't exist at all. That would be better to have fewer options and competition, right? Not to mention fewer CANADIAN options and innovation...

Seems a silly, emotional reaction statement to me.

I do prefer that labradar close down

so addressing needed changes a decade later and as you,said

will soon release updates

If they were to fail, do you see that as some sort of victory for you? And / or others? Not sure how you could be so egregiously affected by their existence. Seems a really strange position to take.

Oh, and by the way.... buddy.... I guess we were told two different stories. When I looked Guy in the eyes at SHOT Show last month, he had a very different story than yours.

Not different stories school boy

most of us in the know knew about the release a few days before shot, perhaps when they were setting up their booth

pretty hard for them to keep perpetuating their deceit when in 2 days they were about to tell the world

they still discounted their units on the usa a lot to sell the crap that still don’t work
