So you're saying the oil racket isn't doing the same thing?
It will NEVER, EVER happen until public opinion is swayed, and I cannot foresee that happening anytime in the near future.
Paul
If the AR15 is banned in the states it will be a short amount of time until it is banned here as well.
The antis will be plastering it all over the media how "even gun crazy US has banned it" but not Canada. It would be political suicide for any government in power here not to act. Sadly most people here will just see a big scary black gun and want it banned as well.
I'd save your cash.
No, what I'm really trying to say is that the lunar landings were fake and that Bush personally set the explosives that brought down the twin towers on 9/11.
You guys honestly think ANY US administration could successfully ban or would dare try to ban the AR platform at this point????????? Good grief.
It will also be a political suicide for government to give in to banning Ar15 just because they ban it in the states.
Do you have (2) tinfoil hats on tonight? A double conspiracy, you say? LMAO. How some people dream this sh!t up is unbelievable. Have another eggnog and rum rivtec78.![]()
Could we just stock up on Tavors, RFB's , T97's andSwiss Arms instead......
Precisely. Thank you!
Who doesn't have an AR? Seriously.
...I bet there are less than 50,000 AR's in the entire country. Since AR owners seldom seem to have only one, that cuts the numbers in half or more again. Looking at our numbers, AR owners are a tiny fringe element of gun owners overall.
Close to 2 million Canadian gun owners. There are just under 2 million PAL holders and only 564,491 restricteds registered in total. Considering the vast majority of these will be handguns, I bet there are less than 50,000 AR's in the entire country. Since AR owners seldom seem to have only one, that cuts the numbers in half or more again. Looking at our numbers, AR owners are a tiny fringe element of gun owners overall.

They also said that about Obamacare, continually raising the debt ceiling... They could just start requiring that all ARs are registered through the NFA with a $200 tax stamp.
Not necessarily. The Democrats don't have a majority in the House, and mid-term elections are only two years away. Even if the bill is defeated it could result in enough Republicans losing their seats to public outcry that the Democrats end up with a majority in both the House and Senate. Far from being political suicide, this could be the catalyst to give Obama the free reign to do whatever he wants in the last 2 years...
Maybe he should cut back on the 'rum' part.![]()
I am talking about Canadian government banning Ar15 just because the US government bans assault rifles.
I sold my AR for my TAR-21....though I miss it so.
