He does not care about political fallout because the US has reached the point where the have-not sit on your butt people out number the hard workers that prefer less government intervention. This is coming to Canada and the only thing saving us right now is vote splitting on the left.

Much of US is urban and overpopulated which means a strictly controlled society (think of New York City, Singapore and the Netherlands).
Much of Canada is semi-rural and underpopulated which makes people more self-reliant and autonomous.

What makes us different is the same thing making Northern Europe different from Southern Europe: a harsher climate with a real winter.

If he issues such an executive order, he will face the largest sh!tstorm in US history. Subverting the Bill of Rights with executive powers will at the very least result in impeachment, heck if he did that I wouldnt be suprised if he caught a bullet (LET ME BE CLEAR, I DON"T WANT THIS, SUGGEST THIS OR CONDONE THIS).

Anyway the point is that he won't do it unless he is VERY stupid.

Impeachment? The House Of Representatives is currently Republican right? So no problem there. The senate however is ruled by the upper house or Senate. So impeaching him might prove difficult. The majority however of the state Governers are Republican so that may... just might work against Obama.

The impeachment process is a two-step procedure. The House of Representatives must first pass, by a simple majority of those present and voting, articles of impeachment, which constitute the formal allegation or allegations. Upon their passage, the defendant has been "impeached". Next, the Senate tries the accused. In the case of the impeachment of a president, the Chief Justice of the United States presides over the proceedings. For the impeachment of any other official, the Constitution is silent on who shall preside, suggesting that this role falls to the Senate's usual presiding officer. This may include the impeachment of the vice president, although legal theories suggest that allowing a defendant to be the judge in his own case would be a blatant conflict of interest. Trying to get two thirds to vote to impeach him? I dunno. I just don't see it happening. Not saying it couldn't happen but the odds ARE slim.
 
I do know that the Senate is controlled by the Dems but even many of the Dems who support gun control would not tolerate such flagrant disregard for the constitution and abuse of executive power. Even those who hate the second ammendment would be wary of such direct control by the executive branch.

Blaxsun, the only reason Redfords Government is in power is because people refuse to accept that she is in fact a LIEberal. Plus come 2016 we will get her out of office, mark my words.

I sure damn well hope so and in BOTH cases. LIE-berals need to be removed from office, impeached, tried for treachery, treason and every other charge you can think of!
