Girsan MC312 opinions and experiences wanted

I would also like to add a browning Auto 5 to the safe but I'd say 50 weeks a year I am shooting 2 3/4", 7 1/2 size with 1oz or 1 1/8 oz target loads for fun out in the yard.
I mounted a cheap thrower to the receiver hitch on one of the ATV's

Is there anyway to make them cycle these loads reliably ?
I have contacted 2 sellers on the EE and both say they wont cycle the light stuff

Regarding the Auto 5, mine will cycle the 1300fps stuff but not the 1150fps loads.

Start a new thread. You'll get lots of advice. Unless it's a Magnum, you can likely get it to cycle light loads.

In the market for a semi auto, but not a big budget unfortunately.
Saw these Girsans and the price is crazy cheap.

Does anyone have any real experience with them, easy to clean and maintain, reliability etc.

They also have a semi with a rotary bolt that looks interesting but not much information that I can find.

Thanks in advance
I shoot an MC312 when duck hunting. Overall for the price it's pretty reasonable. When things work it works well, cycles well, no issues with a variety of different steel shot shells. Mine DOES occasionally fail to fire the first shell - it's like a light strike. You have to be really certain that the bolt closes properly when you manually insert the the first shell when reloading. Don't ride the charging handle at all. The issue isn't so bad that I would get rid of the gun but it's annoying enough that I might make a different choice for something a little more reliable if buying the first time.

I understand this is a common problem with any maker of an inertia semi, not just Girsan.

Yeah it's happened to my Stoerger m3500 before by bumping the bolt handle by accident, the head has to rotate all the way. Mines broken in and now rotates even if closing the bolt slowly and quietly

Built one for 3 gun and after a good dose of heavy 2 3/4” and 3” waterfowl/upland shells, it works actually pretty well. Ran some 3 dram target load at the last 3 gun I did and had no issues. It’ll cycle 2 3/4 dram 1 1/8 ounce loads now. They just take some breaking in. I’d also recommend higher quality chokes as the ones that come with seem cheaply made to me. They use Mobil chokes.
