I have to say that the idea of going with Serpa when there are so many other far better options on the market for very little more $$$ would seem to be false economy. I would recommend the following:
1. Although I have several BladeTech kydex holsters, I strongly recommend staying away from their lower end models that "appear" to be injection molded; Kydex good, injection molded bad. The goofy adjustable belt loop has let go on my son #2's holster a couple times in competiton and is now classified as unsat - he has moved on to a CompTac Belt Holster and couldn't be more pleased. There are several other good ones out there but these are ones that I've actually used, and I won't recommend something I haven't had my hands on;
2. Stick with one of the following - Blade Tech KYDEX, Comp Tac, BadKarma, Raven (if you can stand the wait times), JM Holsters through LMS Defense Pro Shop, and Secret City Weaponeers (once again, a bit of a wait but worth every penny).
I have used all of the above and own BT kydex (several - G19/23 and 1911), Comp Tac (several - P7 and M&P), and have several inbound from BadKarma (M&P) and JM Holsters (M&P).
I strongly recommend also using single mag pouches as the doubles do not allow consistent grasping of the magazine due to orientation necessitated by the make-up of them majority of double mag pouches...
