Glock holster

I have to say that the idea of going with Serpa when there are so many other far better options on the market for very little more $$$ would seem to be false economy. I would recommend the following:

1. Although I have several BladeTech kydex holsters, I strongly recommend staying away from their lower end models that "appear" to be injection molded; Kydex good, injection molded bad. The goofy adjustable belt loop has let go on my son #2's holster a couple times in competiton and is now classified as unsat - he has moved on to a CompTac Belt Holster and couldn't be more pleased. There are several other good ones out there but these are ones that I've actually used, and I won't recommend something I haven't had my hands on;

2. Stick with one of the following - Blade Tech KYDEX, Comp Tac, BadKarma, Raven (if you can stand the wait times), JM Holsters through LMS Defense Pro Shop, and Secret City Weaponeers (once again, a bit of a wait but worth every penny).

I have used all of the above and own BT kydex (several - G19/23 and 1911), Comp Tac (several - P7 and M&P), and have several inbound from BadKarma (M&P) and JM Holsters (M&P).

I strongly recommend also using single mag pouches as the doubles do not allow consistent grasping of the magazine due to orientation necessitated by the make-up of them majority of double mag pouches...

You need to decide what you want the holster for. Is it for competition, open carry, concealed carry, etc.

Once you decide on what it will be used for, then you can narrow it down. If it's just a place to hold the gun when you're at the range, get a cheap nylon Uncle Mikes. It'll do just as good as a more expensive leather or kydex.

For competition, Blade-tech or Praetus Defence are very good. I've used both for IDPA and IPSC.

Concealed carry, Praetus again, and Raven Concealment.

Open carry or 'tactical' use, Safariland and Blade-tech make excellent thigh rigs.

You mean Praetor Defense? Right?

BTW: Here is an awesome photo of the maker of the Praetor Holsters in a 16x9 wallpaper. Cool AAC Can and a new AXTS Ambi AR lower too... ;)

Oh yeah: Check them out on the web or facebook. They are awesome. I have them for both the M&P and G17. Plus a couple AR mag pouch holders. Raven Quality, half the price, now wait time.

YES!!!!!

Praetor Defense!!!! oops...:redface:

My apologies to the good folks at Praetor Defense. The kit is awesome.

I've only played around with their ar-15 mag pouch a little, but it seems like it's going to be just as good as the holster and pistol mag pouch.

Excellent kit, and I'm looking forward to using Praetor at the next IDPA match I go to.
