Chris you may want to think this over
DE .50 down sides
-Gun cost alot
-Ammo cost is huge
-Finding ammo is very hard
-it is not a good gun to learn the basics on
-the grip is huge
-Mags are pricey
-reliability is hit and miss
Is this you first handgun?
This is all true above.
However, to the OP, it's your dough so spend it on whatever floats yer boat....lol...
My personal assessment on what you tried out....
Glocks.... Don't care for the Models 20 or 21, too big & clubby for me. Love the G22, G17, G19, etc. Have shot thousands of rounds thru G22's.
1911's..... been 'into' them for ~ 30 years. Have easily owned > 100 differents ones in that time. Lots of Colts & lots of USGI's amongst them. Still have a few, including Norcs. Never had a lemon with any Norc 1911 I've owned. The 1911 fits me well & I can also shoot it well. Like 'em in .22lr, .38 Super, 9mm, 10mm, and of course the venerable .45ACP. Have shot thousands of rounds thru 1911's.
Beretta 92.... have owned a few over the years right from the early 92S with the Euro mag release up to the current 92 series. Shot well for me but grip is a bit too clubby. These days my double stack 9mm pistola is a Browning Hi-Power MkIII. Much prefer that or the CZ 75/85 series over the Beretta 92's. That said, have toyed with the idea of getting one of the new Girsan Beretta clones. No other reason that 'just because' though. Have shot thousands of rounds through double stack 9mm pistols.... Beretta, CZ, BHP, S&W, etc.
Desert Eagle.... nope. No use for one.
