It never ceases to amaze me about the sheer volume of rifles for sale on EE at any given time. I wonder what percentage typically sell? Aside from well priced and/or rare/quality pieces, I would likely never shop on EE anymore. Too risky, too much shiiit, and many guns are grossly under-described.

I guess you have to be quick on the "I'll take it"" to get lucky.

Yeah you get some awesome surprises sometimes. And any gun with a low enough price is going to sell lol. Its kind of "how badly do you want it gone and how long are you willing to wait"

Guys who appreciate nice stuff likely have too many already. The value of used firearms seems tremendous compare to the new stuff.

Based on the ads that we delete as requested, numerous ads are successful.
If you consider feedback scores, many members are very active buying and selling.

There are also people who delete the thread and don't mark it as sold. I've seen 1200$ rimfires move in less than 3 hours, like a ghost. All the great deals I got on here, I was just lucky and seen within 20 mins of posting.

150$ brno 3
150$ Diamonback 2-7 BNIB
100$ Cooey 600 w/ scope
70$ Bushnell banner LNIB
Who knows what else. I made about 700$ last summer just flipping cooeys.

I'm still scratching my head as to why some guys are asking more for a used gun than what you can get a new one for.

$800 for an SKS? Really?

Agreed!!!

A used gun or anything, has to have some kind of an appeal ti buy it. Be it rarity, antique etc. price is one of the factors and if a used gun is put for sale for about the same price you can get it in stores BRAND NEW, why would anyone pay the insane price for a used item?! Just do not get it lol

But hey! It is a free country…so far…and do what you like…however, your 100th time bump of your add tells you something lol

Couldn't say. I do know that one of the moderators' regular chores is clearing the PLS Remove flagged ads. There are lots of them.
You do see the ads that have been bumped dozens of times - too high or something wrong.

There are obviously overpriced items. Costs nothing to post a WTS ad, so members just give it a try. Same as overpriced items at gun shows. Good items at good prices sell very quickly. CGN is a large marketplace.

I don’t have a super high rating but most of my sales are guns, and I’ve never taken one down because it didn’t sell

Availability is another reason.
Look at the used car and truck theme.
Fruck’in old 400,000 k Yoters in the $2500+ bracket.

Pritty shure we’re at the tip awf the ice berg.
Then the avalanche is going to strike.

I tend to window shop. What I hate is when there are no pictures. I don't know what every gun looks like, so just giving a name and price sometimes means nothing to me. But show me a nice shiny new toy, if the $$ amount matches what I have to spend that day, I'll make an offer. Most of the time I need to search online what it looks like, only to find out the $1000 EE price is only $750 new online. Now if I see an ad with no pictures, I just skip it... might be losing a deal, but not worth my time searching for images that may or may not match what is being sold.

EE is very entertaining 80% of posted firearms are priced way of the off what the actual vale is that being said a person can put what ever price they want on there gun I don’t have to buy it
Most of the time those firearms never sell
The condition rating is another thing that is so far off the mark instead of using the standard NRA rating they usually have their own system Lol
This is the best one sellers never look to see if there is the same gun listed
Example as we speak two identical firearms both basically new one is listed for 1900$ not selling the other at 2600$ dude what are the odds

One of the benefits of not being able to post pics, is that the seller avoids the time wastin', window shoppin' tire kickers.

A serious buyer knows what he wants, and what it looks like by the description. And Google is his best friend.

Pics to e-mail.
