Glut of hunting rifles for sale on EE... wonder what % actually sell?

A lot of them sell,as far as I can tell. Also for those who are lucky enough to post pictures that work, thank you,Ive had no luck myself, and also there are a lot of pictures people post and all I see is an outlined little box where the pictures should be.

I'm sure it's my browser causing the issues with pics being posted and whatvi can actually see.

I remember one rifle that I sold and then bought back, and then sold again and bought back again!

That's funny...and a bit familiar. I remember buying a rifle, later selling it, then a few years later seeing it for sale, buying it again...and then selling it again.

Only had one rifle I bought & resold a couple times.

Wasn't off the EE here, though.

NAA.

The reason I bought it the first time is the same reason I bought it the second time... the reason I sold it the first time is the reason I sold it the second time... slow learner.

Today is last day for rifle season where I am, the gun club board will be full of rifles to sell, not alot of money in this area, guys buy a gun use it for the season and sell it.

Yeah... next thing you know she's looking at threads about cooking/relationship advices/ ball shaving/barb wires/ subscription to OT where funny threads have close to 100,000 replies...

:p

No, she is looking at your 4 digit Trader Rating and the light bulb is coming on...

Of all the things I’ve listed. A small amount haven’t Sold one here. But sold elsewhere.
It’s nice to see the EE active and always something new to see.

That being said. Prices are a bit high but everything is high.

Had one I bought and sold to a buddy a couple times. I traded it and he gave me ####. “We both made a lot of money off that rifle!”. Lol

I dump everything that is newer at my local gun plumber on consignment. I use to like the EE when CGN was smaller, now it's too much of a pain in the ass. Soon as something is listed, 40 lowball offers even if it's priced fair. Shipping prices are nuts, shipping rules are nuts with CP, helps keep my Smith in business selling local, and they sell there for fair prices.

Interesting. I haven't sold a TON of guns, but I've had very few lowball offers on what I have sold. Then again most things I've sold aren't worth a lot of money, not much room to lowball on a Mossberg ATR100 lol

You can tell by the prices of some rifles that the poster really doesn't want to sell. Probably listin to appease the wife lol.

Some people are just ridiculous... My friends brother has a broken down Mitsubishi Lancer that got a hit with a VI and now needs to pass that before it can be insured, and its past the 30 days to get the car to a shop to fix the stuff needed to pass the Vehicle Inspection so it needs to be towed.

He listed it for $6500!!! For a car you can't legally drive right now and needs a bunch of work before you can insure it! Hes gonna be lucky if someone buys it for $650, most likely its going to the scrap yard for $200...

I'm still scratching my head as to why some guys are asking more for a used gun than what you can get a new one for.

$800 for an SKS? Really?

I put one on for $500 shipped. Mailbox full in an hour. Turns out the one I had was a Russian 1950 that was never refurbed, super condition. I had no idea. A milsurp guy told me $750 to $800 was a value that was appropriate. I was going by prices for arsenal refinished rifles and got beat up a little but my bad.

One of the benefits of not being able to post pics, is that the seller avoids the time wastin', window shoppin' tire kickers.

A serious buyer knows what he wants, and what it looks like by the description. And Google is his best friend.

Pics to e-mail.

I think the opposite is true, since with multiple pictures it is possible to indicate the true condition of the firearm being sold. I bought a 2012 Winchester model 70 featherweight because the detailed pictures showed the actual condition of the rifle. I find the prices people are asking are delusional i.e, ruger 10/22 takedown for $1000 when currently available for $700.

Same for me aside from two rfiles which I couldn't sell for the life of me and what I thought were fair prices. I sent the to Prophet River for consignment and they sold before I even saw them listed on the website for more than what I was asking here.

Wtf are you guys smoking?
You only see the ads that don't sell.

There's plenty of decent deals on here, like anywhere else.

I've sold everything I've put up.

Prophet always seems to have an excellent inventory of consignment rifles and shotguns.
