Got me a 454 Casull Alaskan...

It would be pretty boring if we only bought practical guns, JP can afford it and he can always use it with .45LC's if his wrists fail to enjoy stout .454 loads.

If I ever buy a hand cannon it's going to have a long barrel so I can thread it and run a compensator when needed and maybe a bipod for scope use.... :)

...

Amen to that, big bore revolvers are just a blast to shoot, pardon the pun LOL. I'm not big into hunting myself, just love shooting - keeping an eye out for the right Performance Center .500 S&W myself.

It doesn't take much perfomance to punch thru target paper at an approved range.
Unless I was a geologist or a prospector or other bush worker needing grizzly protection with an ATC I couldn't justify spending the money.
Everybody to their own.
It is a beautiful gun tho.

My brother paid 27.000 USD for a rare stamp...
And he doesnt intend to use it on an envellop...

I'm at a fairly comfortable point in life, have given up a few other vices, so don't mind indulging in those I have left LOL

Treat yourself and visit a state like Maine or New Hampshire or even Alaska if you have enuf $bucks$ that allow handgun hunting and go on a big game hunt with your hand cannon.
My last Maine deer was shot with a handgun.
You''ll come back with a whole new zest for the gun rights fight ahead of us when you experience the freedom our government has been depriving us of for no good reason.

Pray angry tom or justin don't grab that fancy shootin iron from you.
With that kind of money tied up in handguns my fingers would be white from being very tightly crossed on the morning after election day.

Not big into hunting, other than the occasional Coyote run. But like driving a car, for me it's not the end result - the destination, or kill, or even those holes in a paper that's the best part. It's all that comes before, the driving - or the shooting. I'm at the range with friends, or my grandsons, and it's just a fun way to spend a few hours with like minded people. To top it off, after plinking away with 9mm it's nice to finish off with a few big bore rounds - puts a grin on everyone's face. To each their own :) .

It's all about doing what i like, shooting is the great escape, i like being with friends at the range but equally, i like to be alone playing with my toys...
Being ahead of big family, my life is full of decisions, shooting at the range, i am just one of the boys, and doesnt have to take decisions ...
Very rewarding activity... JP.:)
