Its either prohibited or non-restricted, no middle ground with the folding stock. More than 660mm is non-restricted, and less is prohibited. I just measured my 12.5" full stock grizzly and marked off where 26" is. You should take your pictures down as you have made a prohibited weapon. Read up on the "by folding or telescoping" section on overall length...

Quote:

Restricted firearms include:

* semi-automatic, centre-fire rifles and shotguns with a barrel shorter than 470 mm (about 18.5 inches);
* rifles and shotguns that can be fired when their overall length has been reduced by folding, telescoping or other means to less than 660 mm (about 26 inches);

Those sights look pretty solid. Are they "Dominion" manufactured or aftermarket?

It wouldnt be prohib. Resticted if less than 26" when folded.

It MUST be pretty damn close to 26" though. Maybe a sling adapter would push it over, if it is under. You can get an extra 1/4 inch from them and I really like how they set you up for a nice single point sling.

Is it still longer than 26 inches? It sure doesn't look like it is.

Because that counts (at least in my head, and probably in the CFC's) as an alteration to the barrel to reduce length.

It's a Non-restricted shotgun still.

Quote from http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/pub/bsf5044-eng.html

Non-restricted firearms include:

* semi-automatic rifles and shotguns with barrels that are at least 470 mm (18.5 inches) long, and do not otherwise fall into a restricted or prohibited category; and
* single-shot or manual repeating rifles and shotguns of any length, as long as they are not designed or adapted to be fired when reduced to a length of less than 660 mm (26 inches) by folding, telescoping or other means.

Na, not even close. It's 23" sharp. Don't know how to get the extra 3". Any suggestion?

The sight is Dominion original. Damn solid side protection bar.

The folding stock is the best design I have even seen. The design will eliminate any play. I don't thing you need a single point sling plate - the stock comes with a sling ring!!

Here we go again!

Here is the official definition of prohibited firearm in the CC

prohibited firearm" means

(b) a firearm that is adapted from a rifle or shotgun, whether by sawing, cutting or any other alteration, and that, as so adapted,

(i) is less than 660 mm in length, or

(ii) is 660 mm or greater in length and has a barrel less than 457 mm in length,

Now restricted firearm definition by CC

"restricted firearm" means

(b) a firearm that

(i) is not a prohibited firearm,

(ii) has a barrel less than 470 mm in length, and

(iii) is capable of discharging centre-fire ammunition in a semi-automatic manner,

(c) a firearm that is designed or adapted to be fired when reduced to a length of less than 660 mm by folding, telescoping or otherwise,

Everything else is pure interpretation.

Have fun! ;)

How much money and time are you willing to waste on defending yourself in a court of law? Just put the 18" barrel back on until the rapture comes.
