heh, get this - my 30-06 may be out of the running due to some stock/bedding related issues.

So I guess it might be 140 grain XLC's in the 260 Remington

I htink you will be fine. It's a good bullet, and an accurate rifle.

Iwouldn't want to stretch the range much, though.

30-06 on grizz

I would use any well made bullet of 180 gr or over,220 if you what to brake bones.
Bears are well biult ,even a black can take alot if you are not right on with shot placment.
