So there's this stuff....
Its different than anything on the shelf in canada, i've tried it all....

I was skeptical so i called the inventor.

I made a special order and ive been trying it out in a bunch of guns.

One area I've noticed its doing well is in my fully upgraded SR-22.

Soaking wet or bone dry, I go through hundreds upon hundreds of rounds, performing the same in the last mag as with the first.... and the gun is not gross inside after.

Im still testing it out... only had a couple days out with it.

When should I put out a proper report on the stuff, and what tests should i do?

Its great at cleaning milsurp SKS's.... clean operating, pulls stuff out of the bore, and totally eliminates corrosion even without cleaning the gun for days after running a thousand dirty milsurp rounds through it.

What do people want to know about this kind of thing... before I spout off about it and post all the info about how to special order it etc.

Why dont you just tell us what it is rather than writing a paragraph without bothering to mention what it was in the first place?

I just shot 900 thunderbolts in 2 days from my SR22 with no issues... It's dirty but running perfect

Yeah a 1000 rounds of anything doesn't prove much, I usually shoot 1500 to 2000 Winchester wildcats out of my 10/22 every weekend without a single issue. So I'm pretty skeptical about this magical nameless product.

I shot 1000 thunderbolts and almost a brick of federal over the last month without cleaning my 10/22 and it's running fine. I use froglube.

I shoot thousands of rounds through my 22's before I even consider cleaning them. When I do clean them I just spray out the action with brake clean and re oil. Cleaning 22's is certainly not a chore worthy of some miracle product.

Whatever Remington used on the Nylon 66 when it left the factory would be a good investment.

My brother got one brand new way back and never cleaned it. Still functions flawlessly to this day.

I like to clean my 10/22 every 1500-2000rnds. I don't clean it because it doesn't work but just because I feel I should. I avoid ThunderBolts like the plague but I have put a couple thousand other Remington rounds through it without cleaning with no problems with reliability.

I don't understand. You prep the rifle with it, then shoot the corrosive, and you can wait days without corrosion?
Or does it clean the corrosion out with the other carbon, salts, and residue?

No coating of any fluid will stay in the barrel after thousands of rounds fired so if the first is the claim, it's complete BS. Anything you pretreat the bore with beforehand will be gone after one or two shots. Then you're left with corrosive salts in the bore and will get rust. On the outside of the rifle, perhaps, but not inside the bore.

If the second one is the claim, you'll still get pitting over time as the rust from corrosive ammo is barrel steel being removed from the gun.

Nothing proactive can prevent corrosion and nothing that removes the corrosion after the fact can replace iron removed from the steel through oxidization.
