If anything is open-source it's these forums. Won't get much traction here with the carrot and stick thing.

My question about all of these wunder lubes is,how did 90 percent of my guns,which are over 60 years old and most likely saw combat, ever last long enough in good condition for me to own and use?

Well, for my battle rifles, they are likely saturated with cosmoline and will live to see the heat-death of the universe.
 
Ok i will bite, im not too concerned with the rimfire stuff since i preformed the first cleaning on a friends 10/22 in 25 years it was very dirty but still worked. I use gibbs which is now called sp3 and i regularily clean.
I would like to see you treat your sks fire a bunch of corosive ammo and put it away dirty for a week then shoot it again. Supply photos too if it works as you say. Pm the details or make another thread after the results.
Your getting flack since people want to see the results not claims
 
I shot 700rds thu my 10/22 with a 98% success rate just using a light film of syn diesel engine oil. So whats so special??? or will this be another one of ADHD Canucks my SR22 is better because I spent 1500$ on it thread.. Or my 17HMR will out shoot veterns shooters. But I wont prove it.
 
I've had good success using 100% snake oil on my rifles, thats probably what this guy is spouting off about.
