Gunsmiths that you recommend

Nobby Uno, in Courtenay, BC. At 70 something years young and around 50 years of building rifles, he knows how to do the job right. He's getting pickier as he gets older though, no general gunsmithing, just full custom guns, barrelling jobs, stocks, bedding and muzzlebrakes. You won't be dissapointed.
cheers
Greg

Bob Harvich in Winnipeg and his partner have made many parts for me. He also stocks many many parts for the older guns. i have dealt with RDP gunsmithing who is around Dugald, he did a few great jobs for me and I would deal with him without hesitation.

Jason is very good knows his stuff, does complete gun smithing of all degrees, I use him all the time

Hi, guys, great thread - everybody needs a good gunsmith here and there. I am in a need of a good gunsmith right now, but I don't want to ship the firearms. I need to find one in the Greater Toronto Area, Ontario. The work I need done is on a 1911 pistol and on a Colt AR-15. If you know somebody and can vouch for the quality of work, please post or send the contact info. The email is albog@rogers.com

Appreciate this.

Is Nobby still around? Amazing fella and an inspiration to some of us who know of him.
A true craftsman.

Karl at K.S. arms in Edmonton has done rebluing for me,rechambering,brakes.. etc etc and always been first class work..

Also Stu at ..The Fibreglass Store in Edmonton does first class fibre and kevlar stocks that are hand laid up one at a time.

I highly recommend both of them.

John Rempel in Toms Lake, BC has built a few custom rifles in his time.
I had a M95 turned into a beautiful 7MM AI as a gift for my son. All of my repairs have been done in a timely manner.
John gets to re-repair a lot of others' work and accepts work from all of Western Canada.
The new shop will be online second week of February, 2010.

Another thumbs up for Casey Brouwer - Tactical Ordnance (ARWEN ACE on CGN). Knowledgeable and really helpful with my noob questions and the turnaround time on custom fitting my stocks was amazingly quick.

Thanks

I just recieved my Enfield P17 back from Wilcox Gunworks, he reblued it, shortened and recrowned the barrel, repaired the magazine and magwell and built a new stock for it. He did an excellent job, held to his quote and did it in a timely fashion.:)

UPDATE: David Jenings in Pritchard, BC did a muzzle brake for me. Excellent work, done in the time stated, repackaged it exactly as I shipped it and although he never quoted a price the bill was about a $150.00 less than I expected. An excellent experience all the way around.
