H&K G36 civilian photos and details. UPDATED

Hmmm...I was wondering why one of the uber rare real G36's showed up on the EE, pretty much simultaneous to this announcement.
A coincidence....I think not!

Six month ago I mentioned that these are coming and today there are more details and some great news. Here are photos of the upcoming G36 civilian rifle, shown here with optional accessories.

There will be 4 models with different barrel length:

G36C (compact) - 228mm
G36K (kurz - short) - 330mm
G36S (sporter) - 420mm
G37L (long) - 480mm

Now the real interesting part is that these recently were approved by the German authorities for civilian sales. That means these will not only be available in USA but also worldwide. Since Canada gets our HKs directly from Germany this is good news, as we will not have to import from USA with their ITAR restriction but will get these through the regular import channels.

Curious, what is your source for these coming in anyways? :)

Well they should do it, it would be a top seller, hopefully we don't get the usual importers tacking on an additional $1500 to $2000 mark up and offering zero service... That's why I posted the civi version coming out in the irunguns section, forget paying 9000 for a G36 collectors item when you can get this version and actually shoot it on a regular basis...

Hopefully it'll be between 2800$ to 3200$ and take AR mags so that I can remotely afford one.

One trillionnnnnnn dollars, its made from uber secret alien technology don't you know?

Could it be Germany realizing HK is bankrupt and opened them up for civilian sales so that the company can save itself?
