Yeah, Knights seems to keep a couple of people on staff that hit the forums hard. Can not say the same thing for HK/FN, and many other manufacturers for that matter.
+1
Look I own knights product, and I firmly believe in the company, but H&K is always number 1 in most cases. Mind you the difference on the battlefield is minimal considering most aspects of Infantry combat, they all fire the same rounds of ammunition primarily.
People buy products from different manufactures for many reasons, some because of there experience & trust that is earned over time, others because its the nationalist thing to do.
People on this forum compare many rifles against each other for reasons that make little sense when looking at it from a rational point of view. Generally speaking newer is better, but not always, considering companies are in competition with each other, they always launch new rifles to beat the other guy.
The thing is with H&K is that they always raise the bar, and then the other manufactures start launching new products to counter after the fact.
The most obvious reason H&K is usually on top is the amount of misinformation that is sent about many of their rifles, which border's either on downright lies or ignorance.
For example the amount of BS that was pumped out about the G36 series was hysterical to say the least. The worst part is that companies especially in the US tend to use the tactics of constantly repeating lies to the shooting community till they believe it.
You have to look at when the rifle was completed by the date, this will give you an idea of how companies will wait for the particular companies to release it's new product. Once they do that, the competing company will test that new toy, launch a propaganda campaign, and then release there new product after. (Common knowledge)
For instance with the 416, all the other companies begain to produce there own gas piston design well after H&k did, no other company bother to do this, even though it was know in the firearm manufacturing world as an alternative. A guy named Al zitter back in the 80's started making some apparently & stoner had the idea as well.
But know one else bothered and H&K did not have the lisence to make an AR/M4 variant or couldn't till the patents were useless in the court of law.(And They Still got Sued).
Conclusion:
If you have the option between the two manufactures of Knight's or HK, buy whatever you can afford or get, whatever suits your fancy, either way you will be in good hands!
