H R Pardner pump

I know this is an old thread, but I would definitely vote in favor of the H & R Pardner Pump. I've had one since 2017 or so, it's been fantastic. I think the new 'Blue Line' shotguns are also Hawk Industries versions of the 870, just like the older HP9s and Dominion Arms Grizzly shotguns. I have only seen the Blue Line models with shorter 18.5" barrels so far.

I do appreciate well made firearms, such as an older 870 Wingmaster, no question they are very nice and worth the $$.

Also nothing wrong with an inexpensive, overbuilt, and heavy copy of the 870 pump action, like the Hawk Industries/Norinco. I notice that almost all that go up for sale are sold very quickly. Must be a reason for that (maybe people are buying them for parts? Or they are just known for being decent?).

I have to say, shooting a couple rounds of trap with the H&R is a great shoulder workout!

Happy shooting boys.

I am considering ordering one of these but have never handled or even seen one in person.
Thoughts,opinions?
Are barrels interchangeable with any other makes?
Thanks

I own a pardner pump. It's a lot of gun for 220$ + tx (on special). No really, it's like 8.2lbs lol

You just have to know how to utilize that's strength. I installed a limbsaver on it (I know, 60$ pad on a 200$ gun, but the original pad was junk), bought a reflex sight and got a turkey choke.
It's great for shooting slugs and turkeys: That extra weight helps manage recoil.

What I would of liked to have known before purchasing: The 10$ weaver is great and does the job, but my reflex sight is not weaver compatible and finding a non-weaver rail (I forgot the name for non-weaver, braindead at the moment) is like 80$ once it gets to Canada.

Would I'd rather have a Wingmaster. You bet! For for 2 week-ends per year (deer and turkey seasons are short where I hunt), it does the job.

I had a 20ga for a few years, after trading a Remington for it. Very slick action, no feeding or jamming issues, handles like an 870 takes mossberg chokes for some odd reason.
Much better quality than a modern Remington, you won't regret buying it.

Sure doesn’t take much to convince people to buy junk just keep lowering the price and tell them it’s just as good as the real deal
Much like everything these days crap is king

Thanks for the link! I have ordered other stuff from these folks before as they’re the Crossman parts dealer as well and they were fine to deal with!
I have been very happy with my 20 ga but it can be picky as to what it likes in terms of shells. It jammed badly and often with Challenger target but worked fine with older Remington and current Federal target shells, both brands often available at a reasonable price.
