Hammer fired polymer pistols. Your thoughts?

Thanks Ganderite looking forward to your initial range report.

I have been to the range twice with it. Shoots perfectly with all ammo tried. Sights need adjusting. I can do that.

I paid $269 for the Pistol at Soley Outdoors. Bought an extra mag for $39 to get the cost over $300 for the free shipping.

Pistol is light. I noticed more felt recoil than with the Canik, which weighs 1 ounce more. I guess this is because of the rotating barrel lock up.

The only complaint is a mild one. The last round (#10) is had to get into the mag. And this means that I really have to slap the mag home if the slide is closed in a tactical re-load. I have noticed the same problem with Glock and S&W mags. The solution has been to take the mag apart and cut 1/10th of an inch off the bottom of the follower legs.

I found that the CF-98 has a 2" leg under the follower to convert the 16 round mag to a 10. I clipped 1/10" off the leg and now #10 loads easily.

Ganderite for a 269 dollar gun that is very impressive. I understand your mag solution, great tip. This gun was never in my thoughts but now I make have to get one just for the hell of it while I continue my quest for a hammer fired polymer gun. Thanks again.

On a side note, I did my first ever stiple job today on my Creed, and it feels so much better. Going to shoot it tomorrow, I expect it will be a big improvement over the slippery stock grip.

I just used a cheap soldering iron on lowest setting with small round tip. Then just went over existing pattern.
I practiced first on a brush attachment for my shop vac of all things, because it was similar enough to get a feel for it. lol

When I was done, I used a little piece of 220 grit paper to take off any sharp edges, and then worked it over with a small stainless brush to clean it up. Worked good.
