hand held ballistics calculator

Shooter for $5 is what I invested in. Used JBM and Litz stuff. You cannot use 2 wind values (min and max) like iSnipe, but you can adjust for muzzle velocity to match real life results and the BC calculated by Litz.

In iSnipe, you have to adjust the BC and not the MV. If Shooter had 2 wind values instead of one, it would be better than iSnipe I think.

Agreed.

Blackberry PLaybook.

In Feb 2012 the OS update will be able to run Android apps. (Developers version of OS2 is available now and runs Android apps)

Right now I am leaning towards Shooter. One great feature is that Shooter will communicate using Bluetooth with a Kestrel BT windmeter and automatically input parameters. This feature is available for the Android version only.

I run the JBM calculator on my ipad and it is far and away my favorite. I tried some of the black berry ones, and stelok and the nikon one. None of them has the load selection that JBM does.

ok Isnipe ???

can I adjust my drop chart to try MOA after I dial and shoot?

say I laze target get 480meters I add all the other info(weather and all) it calls for 10MOA I dial it up and fire but hit 2MOA high can I adjust it to true up the chart?

In iSnipe, the only modification you can do it to the ballistic coefficient. You might be able to auto calculate this by entering real like drop values, but I'm not sure.

Grab a PDA, which you can get very cheap from ebay, and buy the Nightforce program.
All together it will be under a $200.

I bought a practically brand new Dell and installed the program and it works great provided you have an accurate chronograph.
Its usually within an MOA when you input a new load, but then you can input corrections for dope at a couple ranges and it will correct itself.

I've got an iPhone 3G that is currently disconnected from Rogers that has Ballistic:FTE loaded onto it, as well as other apps, that I'm thinking about getting rid of (I recently upgraded to the 4S). It would be easy to buy the phone from me and never connect it to a service provider, and just use it for the apps. You would also have the option of connecting it to Rogers or getting it unlocked and connecting to another network, if you wanted.

Just in case anybody is looking for a good ballistic calculator.

I have Isnipe Ballistics FTE and knight Bulletflight. Ballistics FTE has range reports but I like Bulletflihgt the best. My opinion The only thing Isnipe has the others don't is data for loaded pistol bullets but otherwise long range stuff Bulletflight.

I just won a Blackberry PLaybook. ANyone know if the android stuff is working ok on OS2? If so, anyone tried JBM or Bulletflight on a Blackberry product?

Might return it for an iphone simply for the ballistics programs offered for iphone vs playbook. Not to mention, an iphone can be used anywhere to get the information where the playbook has to be in wifi range.

Shooter for $5. Use Litz's pre-calculated G7 BC values and JBM's calculator. Adjust for variations in Muzzle Velocity (not BC) to match real life results.
