Handgun for small hands

My large hands didn't like my CZ75b's skinny grip so I went to a Sig 226 which fits me better. I agree, CZ75 and Shadow will be good for someone with small hands.

The FMK is nice, inexpensive and has a slimmer grip than most. It would be a contender for her. I got the chance to handle a demo version when I was speaking to one of the reps for the company that imports them.

I saw a FMK at the gun dealer this weekend. It is so small I was sure it was a prohib. My wife liked it as well. I ordered it today should be here in a couple of days. I will do a review as there does not seem to be much info on cgn.

Two rather petit ladies that shot at my range went with CZ Shadows after trying a bunch of guns. This includes the M&P fitted with the short grips. In one case she then fitted it with the thin aluminium grips and liked it eve more.

Neither of them were any good at shooting the guns in double action mode due to the long trigger reach but for single action fun they found the guns fit them really well.

The other option that fits small hands really well and that was very popular with the ladies at the rental range is the 1911 single stack 9mm guns.

And finally there's always revolvers. The S&W K frame revolvers have a nice small grip when fitted with the stock Magna grips or some other thinned down wood grips. And a Wolff spring kit makes the double action pull delightfully light and even.

Tokarev TT33 is single stack with a short reach. A kid could shoot it. Cheap $170 pistol and surplus ammo. Lots of bang for the buck.

I have small hands (some women's small size gloves are too big) and can't seem to find a good 9mm or larger caliber to fit me nicely either.
I just bought the Makarov .380 and quite like the size, (only been out to the range twice with it so far) but the grips are not all that comfortable, and i'm trying to find some rubber grips for it...I can't say if the rubber grips will make it too large though.
Everything else was a little too big, even the M&P with the smallest backstrap was still a little large feeling.
For now, I'm sticking with my Ruger Mark III standard...It fits perfectly and I love shooting it.

Glock 17 or 22 fit smaller... 1911 single stacks in any calibre. May I suggest you consider revolvers? Many magnum revolvers will fit smaller statues...

I second that cheap biometric safes DO NOT exist... At least ones that work!!!

My petite wife recently shot one of my 1911's with an IPSC 'major' load and surprised everyone watching (as well as herself!) by the small group she shot at 15m, followed by smacking 'pepper poppers' at 25m.
She owns two SR9's and will be taking her Black Badge course this weekend. I asked her if she thought that she should have bought a 1911 platform gun and she said - "No. When I want to shoot one, I'll use one of yours!"

She will be doing so in the SASS "Wild Bunch" event and has just ordered a Ted Blocker 'WB' holster and mag pouches. It's a design that meets the criteria in both SASS and IPSC - covered trigger guard (IPSC) and up to bottom of ejection port (SASS). The Blocker design covers both.

HK P2000 ig great. My wife is tiny and it fit her hands better than my P30L even with the smallest panels. USPc grip too big even though a compact. Walther is nice too.
