The same thing happened to me and yes it was my first RPAL. Why I need two cards. I cannot tell any difference between them.
Thanks!
You don't get two cards. you get a replacement with new conditions. toss the 1st one in the garbage.
I’m in Manitoba, called 52 times today and won’t even connect to be placed on hold. Just straight to the standard “high volume” pre recording and disconnect. I called a different department and a lady transferred me through to be placed on hold finally. I was prepared to wait as long as it would take but nope, 18 minutes and then called dropped. 3 days and 150+ calls with no luck.
how can you tell what date they received the transfer? does it say once you get the transfer?Just received my transfer notification today from AB CFO. They received the transfer June 2nd and completed June 8th.
Québec just impossible to have thé line!!! Flush every 4-5 minute
Everyone can chill a bit... The transfers are going through, but each transfer takes the time it takes. Instead of an office getting 80 transfers a day they are getting 500, so there is a backlog. Calling the CFO every 2 minutes isn't going to speed it up. Sucks for those trying to initiate private transfers, but thats reality. BC is doing transfers today (Thurs June 9) for requests received June 1 and 2 (and on friday will still be doing June 2). Remember the dealer doesn't get the paperwork in to them the instant you bought the gun, it takes them a few days sometimes, since they aren't staffed up for this surge, either. The system is working as best it can after an unexpected shock, try your best to not call asking where your transfer is in the queue, if you do need to call in for something, be polite and thank them for their efforts. They don't make the rules and are (generally) trying to survive this govt idiocy like the rest of us....
Are you sure the dealer put all the info in correctly right away? I know of about a dozen requests in the system that have clicked through like clockwork (in the order which they actually got submitted to the system, not the order they were bought). One eastern dealer was a few days behind in submission, and it ran thru in the order (so took 9 days from purchase, not 6 like the others). The other hiccup can be if there is an error in the submitted documents (someone typing Roy instead or Ray...) That can flag it up for extra/other considerations. When did the seller actually get it in the transfer queue?
