Handgun Transfer

Well small victory story to share. Samantha at CFP is amazing.
The seller called over 200 times and finally got through using an app that called with a Newfoundland number. I made over 300 calls, even waking up at 530 BC time, calling with a Newfoundland number trying to get in line first and still didn't work. I finally decided I would call and use options 1-6-1 until someone helped. Finally I got Samantha and with no hesitation she finished the transfer.

Keep at it guys, it can be done.

Anyone have an idea on how long the Saskatchewan CFO is taking to approve the transfer once it is put in by a dealer ?

Okay by no means am I bragging here, nor should we have to be “happy” about getting through, but I made a private purchase, the seller has been trying to get through since last Friday. Just 1-2 calls a day. I told them don’t go crazy. No luck with the restricted transfer line. I saw some posts here about using the 1-6-1 method so I passed that information along to the seller. And she got through today on her second try. Transfer was started.

Now skip forward to my story. I called and did the 1-6-1 method as well. Got through to an agent in litterally 30 seconds after being on hold. Said I was wanting to complete my end of a transfer, she grilled me for 10 seconds about being the non restricted line but that she would do it for me. All in time spent on the phone 4min 58 Seconds. First attempt. Also from Ontario. Figured I’d be the worst off.

There is hope people. Keep trying.

Got through the phone again today using 1-6-1 …..woooooohooooo
Got a dude, Jason I think, yeah Charlene is a #####!! Lmao

Sold a handgun (restricted) last week, got through 1st call (1,6,1). Buyer has been having issues getting through to "confirm" the transfer. Ontario.

Called the CFP today (again, 1,6,1), got through on the second call and conferenced in the buyer on the phone, transfer is now completed. Now the buyer will probably be waiting at least 6 weeks until the transfer is "processed" and he can come and pick up his purchase.

Yup! 161! I’m the buyer and I was trying to complete the transfer all day today using 142, over 50 attempts. I was on hold for 5 minutes and the transfer has been put through to the cfo. Thank you guys for this cheat code!!

Nope been trying with 6 transfer to initiate. Well over 125 calls.
Made it to the hold cue a hand full of times only to be hung up on after 5 or so minutes.
Looking now at transferring using paper docs.
One buyer is going to try the French line from NB.

I did the 1-6-1 method in BC. I got someone on the line after 5 tries and probably 20 minutes of calling. I asked a bunch of general questions about non-restricted transfers and magazine capacity and said “Oh by the way I have a reference number for a restricted transfer, I was wondering if I could complete this with you?” Then bam done

Ok guys and gals, I received an email from the Quebec CFO and they are working weekends too to catch up. They are at treating transfers from May 31st at an average of 300 per day. Mine is from June 2nd so I guess I'll receive mine next week some time.

Bought one on the 31st, and got the transfer the next day. Bought another on the 2nd, and still waiting. Good luck followed by bad luck, or just plain volume issues.
