Handguns Worth Now

HA ha this thread has been taken over by a bunch or "what about" "what if" pearl clutching church ladies. You guys stay home, or in your moms basement, and stay scared. The rest of us will be doing what we want for as long as we can. Going to move a building and then maybe head to the range, or go hunting so see ya I am out

Lots of people have talking big here. Ask the 12.1-12.6 crew how this plays out over time. Until the majority are willing to speak up enough to jeopardize their comfortable existence herein Canada, nothing will change. A new letter writing campaign might do the trick, eh? Maybe some donations to gun orgs??? No, I’m not going to risk a damn thing while the majority shrug when I get smashed by the “authorities”. 85% of Canadians already showed their weakness.

The 12.1-12.6 crew were the problem

So happy to be special and grandfathered.... the same crew with the same old stories at the gun club.... always on the board of directors, blocking anything new...

It's their club....

Their rules...

And their status symbol....

I mean, that is my experience.

Oh yeah. We all got together to demand the government lock a bunch of our firearms into a classification that froze their use. Just so we could lord over you kids. Yeah, thats it. - dan

Well find a different club, or maybe offer to be a member of the board, and work?
Or just sit and #####?
Of course ,if you where a old fart over the hill , you could join the club.

You're right obviously.... I mean in the days of gun counters in every departent store... gun cabinets prominently displayed in homes.... far less restrictive laws.... converted autos.... and the rest, when gun ownership was effectively expected....

It will be so much easier to make the lost ground back these days...

So yes those that took grandfathering were the weakest among us...

I put a tonne of work into our club. We cleaned out the board, installed younger and more active members, and built several new facilities for club matches.

And yes, the ones that voted against most upgrades were the old guys who didnt like black guns, fast shooting, and couldn't believe people wanted to shoot steel targets.

Don't assume that I'm just #####ing for the sake of it.

Not all of the older generation are the problem, but they are the ones on guard when the first steps were taken... the first dominoes started to fall...

And they are often the more risk adverse group.

The value of handguns in Canada is near zero, as the only buyers for them can be businesses.
The value of handguns in the USA is quite healthy, and no doubt that unless this generational ban is overturned then eventually most Canadian owned handguns will end up being exported to the US (and we will be eating the costs associated to get them to that market).

"Took"? Your grasp of the circumstances is weak. It was imposed, there was no "took". Just like all the Lib emotion based gun laws. I assume with your attitude, youre still taking your AR to the range every week right? - dan
