Has anyone got their stripped lower yet?

Mine is under #00075, so not much difference

It's a pretty sh!tty move that they stopped engraving the other side and threw on a garbage coating just to meet the demand of the sale.

Blue-line has already said they would take would take returns on recievers for people who were not satisfied. If it looked like that before installing the LPK. Why didn't you ask for a refund?

It wasn't until I started working on it that the finish started to flake off.

For the price, I could deal with it. But now seeing that mine is completely different than some of the others, I'm down right pissed off. I've already PM'd them, just waiting on a response.

Disappointed in customer service

I fully understand that considering the cost I would not expect it to be anywere near perfect. I don't think I'm nitpicking here but anyhoo

As someone pointed out from my earlier post and pics that the selector dentent hole is a bit off

No biggie since I have 2 other lowers in my safe and I bought this one for a future build for a buddy . Figure I am no rush to have Blue line fix this issue

After speaking with Blue Line today , they said they cannot replace the lower only refund my money

The lame reason was that they don't have any more

If find that suprising that they wouldn't make an effort to replace it with one from next production run

They actually didn't think I should be dissapointed since they were going to give my money back. I guess business must be so good that they don't have to worry about retain one lowly customer who bought a budget stripped lower.

I guess its a blessing in disguise. I want to support local business but considering there are other dealers ( whom I have purchased 3 lowers and other parts from so far this year ) who actually make a bit of effort to keep customers happy, I will be happily making a trip down to PoCo to drop off my reciever and get a refund

As stated before, we apologize to all of our customers for the defective receivers that you may have received. We would be happy to refund your money and cover the cost of shipping should you decide to return it. We cannot however, replace the receivers as no further production runs are planned nor do we have any in inventory to switch them out with. If you should find yourself in such a position please feel free to send me a message or call me at 604 552 8830 and i will be happy to assist you.

I ordered on 26 March and emailed for an order update on 18 April. I didn't get a reply. My card has not been charged so I would prefer that you just cancel the order. The order number is 661.
Thanks.

Is that the lower that you got through this sale? Mine does not have the engraving on the other side and the finish is nowhere near that good...

Both mine do not have the engraving on the right hand side. I kinda like that, like the lower more blank than logo'd up, gives you some options if you want to put a custom mark on it!

More eye candy. The Spike's upper I put on is just a touch more matte black.

Here's the pin I had to sand down a bit. You can see that it still has its shape.

The whole rifle. The shiny parts are oil spots.

Mine has arrived, everything is milspec. I dropped in a NM two stage Rock River Arms trigger and lower parts kit and matched it to an STI upper. It is tight! The take down pins need to be tapped out, no movement, no rattle. Now I need a Rifle buffer tube if anyone knows where to find one, everyone seems to be out of stock.

Oh yes I need a 20" heavy barrel as well, incase anyone is feeling generous?

Thanks Blue Line, I'm thrilled with mine.

well I am one for two on these. I have no doubt that they will make good on it.....

The detent pin hole is not off..............it is the trigger group milling out that is the problem. The radius is larger on one such that it has broken through.

I figured this was the case, and quite frankly for the $120 I am just going to keep it and hope the safety detent doesn’t give way. If it does, I guess it will go in for destruction. :(

The thing that seems really odd to me is why would you fire sale these lowers during a huge shortage? I seen a Bushmaster stripped lower going for $350 on a very reputable dealers site a week before this massive sale. I am just speculating here but this whole situation appears rather questionable does it not? Anyhow, I don’t really feel burned so much as getting what I had suspected in the first place.

Edit: I did search before buying

Wow this thread is becoming disappointing to say it nicely, I put my cash down for one of these as well and have not seen it yet either. For the price I wasn't expecting Larue or LMT quality of course but do hope the one I eventually receive is in decent shape. Would have been good if Blue Line had been up front about the quality issues with these.

Hello Mirk,
I apologize for the issues with the lower.

We are in the process of moving warehouses and we thought that we would clear out the lowers instead of simply move them to a new location. These lowers are from a large run we produced several years ago and some were spec'd out to not have any markings on one side as that is what was requested. These lowers were recently anodized by a company which we had not had any experience with and this is why you see a different finish on some of the lowers.

We decided on the pricing of the lowers prior to the discovery of the mistake with the machining and the anodizing. We do apologize for this issue and if anyone would like to return their lowers for a full refund please let us know.

Best regards,
Ryan Patterson

Hello Devlin,
I do apologize for what has happened with the lowers and in this thread. We were unaware of the issues with the lowers when we placed them for sale. There was never any intent to deceive or trick any customers and we stand behind what we sell. That being said if anyone is not 100% happy with their lower they are welcome to return it for a full refund.

I don’t mean to be all over you here but what do the markings and recent anodizing have to do with the takedown pin hole and the safety detent hole. Basically what I read here is that we should have known about these issues years ago. I even referenced a thread from January 2011 that points out the issue with the rear takedown pin on 2 receivers. What gives?

I suspect that all that happened was an incorrect diameter of mill was used for part of the batch. Running identical patterns on the CNC center one would think that they would all be perfect..........but not when the wrong tool is in place. The location of the detent hole makes one really have to look for the problem............but if it is there then it is quite clear once one sees what one is looking for.
