Has anyone got their stripped lower yet?

I think I'm just going to sand my pin down a bit too. It does fit if you really jam it in there, but that's not very convenient. I'll give it a go tonight.

so i did some sanding down of my rear takedown pin and i fits! i used a black sharpie to cover it up lol. works

here it is completed and after my paint job. not that clean but its my first

Hey that looks great I like the gold. Better than my blue even.

Ya those are the ones I ordered. I will post with pics once they come in, order has shipped so it might be in a week or so.

On a similar note, if the pins work and hold the upper in place properly, would there be any issues down the road when firing? The rear holes seem to line up perfectly with both AR uppers I have, it looks like only less then a mm of the Blueline lower is obstructing the pin.

Please do let us know. Just got my LPK and the rear won't fit properly. If they work out for you I'll probably order a set too.

Dunno if it's worth your time or not, maybe if you're doing it often, but 'at work' we use a steel punch with the handle ground to half it's width. The actual punch end stays in tact. That way you can line it up correctly and it clears the receiver. (Ref. bolt latch pin).

I just used a brass hammer and a steel punch with a little bit of oil to lubricate it. Went in nicely, but make sure your careful and tape up the receiver especially when doing the bolt catch pin.

OK, I sanded the pin with my dremel just a hair and it now fits fine. Only at 9-11 o'clock when facing the pin in the receiver. Touched up with some black sharpie, but cold blue or black paint would probably be a better idea. I'd recommend that for anyone who doesn't want to have to order the other pins from Brownells. Easy peasy.

Looks good but should it really be necessary to have to sand down your pin or modify a brand new receiver? It may have been on sale, but I expect a new item to be "ready to go" right out of the box without any fiddling. Yes, sometimes fiddling is required; in that case it should be disclosed before an item is sold to a customer. If it's an honest mistake of a few pieces slipping past the QC process, then it's up to the seller to make things right. Blue Line has already indicated that they stand behind their products and will take care of any issues, which is only good business practice.

Thank you Blue Line for this great deal and for stepping up to address any issues. Mistakes happen and companies that stand behind their products (as you are doing) are the ones that deserve our support. Thanks again.

Your right that it should have came ready to go but it was a small matter to me. The way i saw it is that i could have returned it or maybe they would send out pins that would fit? Being that im in ON returning it for such a small matter woulddnt be logical, mailing back and att would be too much trouble to i just sanded it down to make it fit. It only took 5mins.

If blue line wants to give a small gift certificate for the trouble ;) i wouldnt complain. But i really appreciate the great sale. Thank you blue line!

On another note did anyone get a response from them? I emailed them yesterday about an item missing from my package but i never got a response today.

Hello Adrian,
I apologize for the delayed response. We have been short staffed lately and with all of the orders going out recently they have been running off their feet. I will be checking in with the people at the retail location tomorrow and I will make sure that you have a response to your email. If there is anything that I can be of assistance with please PM me here and I will do what I can.

Best regards,
Ryan Patterson

STILL waiting with bated breath thanks to bureaucracy... Hopefully mine isn't one of the ones with the QC issues and LPK fits without concern... It would be like waking up on Christmas and finding a pink girl's bike under the tree!!!!!

Mine went together OK, but the take down and pivot pins are quite tight. The finish however is not good at all... The colour is inconsistent and scratches/chips off very easily. I won't be keeping this as a part of my collection. It's just not even close to the quality standard of my other lowers (RRA/STI)

No worries. Ill wait for the email reply. Thanks though.

Meh, the safety retaining pin, finish and function of my lower was fine. It was $120, and lowers are tough to find right now. If you demand something flawless and can't deal with the emotional toll of returning a part for an exchange, spend 2X more on a brand name part.

The Gods heard my complaints and Canada Post came today! Haven't assembled it yet, but things LOOK fine. Finish is nice and consistent. The area around the safety IS thin, but this is my first build, so i don't know if that will be an issue. I'm going to check with my guru.

We'll see, but so far me happy! Thanks BlueLine!

Here's how my color fill turned out, I think it looks pretty cool in gold. Just not sure if I should color in the other side also.

Is that the lower that you got through this sale? Mine does not have the engraving on the other side and the finish is nowhere near that good...

can you post pics of this please

I've learned my lesson buying cheap parts. First NEA and now Blueline.

I was able to get the trigger and hammer pins in without using my rubber hammer and the coating on the holes still just chipped off. I can remove it with my finger nail...

Yeah I got that lower through the sale. The serial is under 00020 so maybe the early ones are better because mine looks great. Your finish just looks terrible though, that's not right.
