Man I am so copying what you did there. Did u use a small brush or a toothpick to get the paint in there. Do share your trade secrets

Actually what I used was a cotton swab. I cover it completely in paint. Then I use a clean end and dab up the extra paint. I then soaked a paper towel in a bit of gun cleaner and Dabbed it lightly as to not get in the recesses. This prevents paint from drying on the receiver and parts you don't want painted. I then wait a minute and start cleaning up with a cotton swab soaked in cleaner/solvent. Then give it a final wipe with paper towel or a rag. I did two coats. Three coats on the model number lettering as it was the most difficult to get the paint in all the nooks and crannies. I recommend searching you tube there are quite a few good videos out there on how to do it.

so heres the rear takedown pin not fitting

Is the safety detent hole on all of the receivers tin foil thin and drilled straight through the inside of the receiver? As it looks like too much material was removed from the inside of the receiver around the safety. You can see it in the picture below, approximately where the safety would go you can see through the receiver, this is not right. Mine is also like this. Considering how thin mine is I would not expect the safety detent to stay put for very long.

I bought two lowers, one is not just paper thin, its machined out so that the hole is exposed on the inside of the reciever, the other receiver, has lots of metal and the hole is centered. Guess i will be calling tomorrow as well as this will not work!

Here is a picture of my lower showing the safety detent spring hole exposed on the inside of the receiver. I am assuming that this is no good since the other lower I got does not look anything like this!

Alright here is a picture of the inside of my lower. It appears worse than Yukon1911's. I have test fitted the safety and it appears to hold and work properly but I am less than impressed to say the least. My rear takedown pin is a perfect fit and is flush. Edit: I am using Colt parts.

The white spots are bare aluminum. That is where the receiver was hung or supported from when it was anodized. If yours is like mine it will also have a bare spot on the back of it where the stock holds in place. This is not typical of other receivers I have.

Hello All,
I do apologize for any issues with the lowers that were not caught at our facility. We have sent out hundreds of lowers in the last couple of weeks and it appears some have slipped through the cracks. If anyone is unhappy with their lowers please let me know and we will happily take care of any issues. Please contact our retail location at 604-552-8830 or through email at info@blueline-activities.com. I will be monitoring this thread as well as the PM's but contacting us directly will provide a faster response.

Best regards,
Ryan Patterson

My lower looks good still, safety detent looks good, has the spot in the mag well, but not worried about. I don't have a LPK so il have to wait and see how a pin fits.

I ordered some thin profile takedown pins from Brownells....YHM brand.....should be able to clear that part of yhe reciever thats blocking the head of the takedown pin...

These ones?

Let us know how they work out will you?

I got no white spots or safety detent issues, but the rear take down pin problem is a pain and definitely nonoperational. I really hope for Blue Line's sake that there aren't too many more guys with these issues.

It seems as though a portion of the machining run may have had some issues that were not caught prior to shipping. We have literally sent out hundreds of lowers with this sale and it seems to be a relatively small number of lowers which are showing problems. All people who are having any concerns please contact us and we will do everything we can to solve the issues or refund your purchase.

Best regards,
Ryan Patterson
