Has the AR market in Canada totally collapsed or what?

Some advice? I am about to list an AR....it was the last 14.5" Armalite M15A4 in Country (came on a trade from John Hipwell's personal stock). It's bone stock except for an Ergo grip, and has seen an honest to god 20 rounds down the tube. Have he boxes/etc....not a mark.

Whats it worth?

Forget to put a trigger lock on your NR gun on the way to the range and it's probably not going to get you more than a warning.

I was attempting to point out the vast difference in the hoops that need to be jumped through to transport non-restricted and restricted guns. If you don't put a lock on your NR gun while bringing it to the range, no big deal, no laws broken. If you don't put a lock on your Restricted gun while bringing it to the range, you're looking a world of hurt. Even something as easy to do as closing a combination lock and forgetting to spin the dial, if it's left with the combination entered it's not securely locked. If you get caught doing that you might make it through without losing your guns and license, maybe.

I'm aware of the NR transport requirements, and so are the cops who arrested me on the way to the range because some lady got all scared and called the police on me. Like I said, not likely to get you more than a warning that it would be better with a trigger lock "for public safety".

Comrades, I honestly wasn't looking for advice about my gun, it's accessories or price.

Like I said, if it sells, it sells; if it doesn't it doesn't - no big deal.

This thread was just intended as a "thinking out loud" thing where I was hoping to better understand what was happening with the current market.

The price you paid...minus the tax/shipping and minus another $100...include shipping as well for that price. Any more $$$ and you will sit on it for weeks as most people will want to buy a FACTORY NEW rifle for the price and get to open it up themselves/have the dealer warranty.

I think everyone is just finally getting sick of them. Every man and their dog is making an AR copy, being restricted doesn't help, and plenty of suitable replacements in NR are readily available. I got out of ARs years ago.

What replacements?

thanks for your input....but Norinco? Core? Frig..if they are all equal I guess that new colt in the safe shoulda cost closer to that 699.

Well they're not equal, norinco 700 and core 1100, thats 400$ difference.

I can't figure out why every time somebody posts about a specific brand, some guy *always* has to chime in with "A norinco costs...."

i own 4x ar15's amd frankly trhe norinco is the best deal of the bunch, comes standard with ambi safety and ambi magazine release and shoots like a milspec gun should. considering my DDmk18, Stag 3G and colt 6920 did not come with any ambi features I am highly impredssed with the norinco.

Why buy a restricted AR at $1200 when you can buy a non restricted SKS for $200. I think alot of people are afraid of getting involved in restricted firearms with all the headaches and red tape.

And I think if anything is hurting the AR market , it's Norinco. Stop buying that crap , get something that's battle proven not something that u have to try to make it work like a real AR.
