Have you always wanted an MP5K-ish gun?- Introducing the Lusa 9mm Restricted!

OK so I just got off the phone with Lusa. Apparently these were assembled by Nightscout and I was told they should stand behind them so Im waiting for a callback from Nightscout.
Steve

Not wanting to take sides on a potentially contentious issue, but if the guns were purchased from Lusa USA isn't it their responsibility to rectify the issue with you? If Nightscout actually did faulty work, they would be responsible for that work to Lusa. Lusa, however, would be responsible to you. Why do you have to go chasing down Lusa's subcontractors?

UMMMMMM you gotta be kidding me? REFUSED REFUND OR EXCHANGE? WOW........ i was looking into getting one but heard of the issues......what kinda business is IRG? ive heard good ive heard bad but this is disgusting....selling faulty firearms and refusing to refund or exchange...............BLACKLISTED in my books...i am sorry to hear about this man i would stop at nothing to at least get a in store credit...what did they tell you when you tried to get refund? i read their return policy and the want a 25% restocking fee....ya thats fine if a customer just doesnt want the product or changes their mind.......but for a defective product there should be no 25% restocking fee...they sold damaged good

fishing for a fight?

i really don't understand why people seem so concerned with a retailer not issuing refunds and credits.
i did not read this whole thread, but if the gun is faulty that is not IRG's fault. It is LUSA's (or whoever manufactures them now) issue.

If i buy a gun at any bigbox retailers, that sale is damn near final. Any issues or defects take it up with the manufacturer. NOT the retailer.

Do you want IRG to test a few hundred rounds through each firearm and then sell em as new plus ammo/employee charges? discounted as used? or should they charge a premium for them as they tested them and function as they should? how do they know they are selling "damaged goods" ?

If you buy a new truck, and the truck is faulty, do you think the personally owned dealership takes on that expense? they issue a 80,000$ store credit?

Let me tell you, they do not. Ford or GM or what have you takes the lick. not the dealer. They do not control manufacturing and any issues that arise with it. just like IRG didn't personally make a defective Lusa.

for ####s sake people, grow up. Why do people feel entitled to everything ?

EDIT: i do feel for the folks who have a firearm that isnt functioning as it should. ive been there myself a few times. But it isnt IRG's fault, or any other retailer. Its the manufacturer, or master distributor/warranty center that needs to deal with this.

So can we get Nitescouts?

Not yet. It is still a Lusa A2 design, but of course because Nitescout is a new manufacturer, it will need a new FRT. Given how the lab is running, that means a new examination process. I'm referring to the hoops K&M Arms are jumping through with IRG to bring in their version of the M17s. Will be the same deal for the Nitescout guns.

But man would I be all over one of those A3. Very cool looking gun.

These nitescouts may be a blessing in desguise if IRG can't track down any replacement LUSA A2 parts. So long as the mag catch is interchangeable...I may finally...one day, have a working Lusa.

It isn't. The NiteScout uses different mags. Uzi I believe. The Lusa is proprietary.

Might be able to modify the Lusa to take uzi mags using a NiteScout mag catch.

So about a month or so ago IRG sent me out the NR restricted barrel for some field testing. Put a few rounds through it... here is what happened...

1) 5 rounds Remington HTP 9mm Luger +P 115gr JHP. No rounds on paper from the bench at 25 yards. I blame the crappy sights. 5th round FTF, primer hit. Re chambered it and it fired. Light primer strike.

2) 5 rounds Remington HTP 9mm Luger +P 115gr JHP. Shot from 10 yards out, standing. No FTF. No FTE. See pic 1 for shots.

3) 5 rounds Remington HTP 9mm Luger +P 115gr JHP. Shot from 10 yards out, standing. No FTF. No FTE. See pic 2 for shots.

4) 5 rounds PMC Bronze 9mm 124gr FMJ. Shot from 10 yards out, standing. No FTF. No FTE. See pic 3 for shots.

5) 5 rounds PMC Bronze 9mm 124gr FMJ. Shot from 10 yards out, standing. No FTF. No FTE. See pic 4 for shots.

6) 5 rounds Remington UMC 115gr MC. Shot from 10 yards out, standing. No FTF. No FTE. See pic 5 for shots.

7) 5 rounds Remington UMC 115gr MC. Shot from 10 yards out, standing. No FTF. No FTE. See pic 6 for shots.

8) 85 rounds Remington UMC 115gr MC. Shot from 10 yards out, standing. Varying speed on mag dumps. Double taps and all 5 at once. No FTE or FTF.

9) 5 rounds Remington UMC 115gr MC. Round 3 FTF. Tap and rack, round 4 fires and ejects. Round 5 FTF. Clear gun. Reload round 3 and 5 into mag. Both show primer strike. Second attempt to shoot round 3 and 5 is successful with no FTF or FTE. Remove barrel, wipe chamber end down with dry paper towel to remove soot built up. Re-install barrel.

10) 5 rounds Remington UMC 115gr MC. 4th round FTF. Tap, rack, 5th shoots. Reload 4th round, fires. Had primer strike.

11) 5 rounds Remington UMC 115gr MC. No FTF or FTE.

12) Next 30 rounds Remington UMC 115gr MC. No FTF or FTE. Mag dumps and double taps. Include 5+1 on two mags for 6 shot dumps.

In total there were 165 rounds fired. Of that,
- 15 were Remington HTP 9mm Luger +P 115gr JHP
- 10 were PMC Bronze 9mm 124gr FMJ (Really thought I loaded more of that but I got lost in the UMC feed bag)
- 140 were Remington UMC 115gr MC

1 FTF with Remington HTP. 3 FTF with Remington UMC
