You have to take me shooting on one of our off days!!
See you at work
- Northern BC's smallest operator
you will have to let me know when you are able to go shooting, case

Hey Case,

I think we're on the other side of the country, if you are in fact from Huntsville. My old man lives near there, Bracebridge. Muskoka is great cottage country.

The tickets she's referring to are to come down from northern BC to Edmonton to visit her gun and her friends. Unless you have something else up your sleeve, Cass?

Kris: Ok i can now try your method of breaking in my XD... what... derek and mary lou convinced me to get an XD... in 9 ... oh god the horrors my bank account is seeing right now.

Cass: when you come down i'll let you shoot my baby eagle if i can try your cz:)

Cassie,
If you haven't already gotten a gun, I have a single shot 22, nothing fancy but it works and I would be happy to give it to you, and even pay the postage to get it there. If it gets someone into guns and prevents the government from taking it off the street I'm all for helping!
I'm a retired senior federal government servant, former diplomat, and in the aerospace and armament field, but will not help the Feds get rid of guns. You could learn with this and then pass it on to someone else. It isn't a gun you would probably want forever but it gets you started the easy way.
Let me know at fredgsmith_4@sympatico.ca
Cheers
Fred

Cass, you still coming to view the martial arts class on Weds? I should probably let the head instructor know. He's always welcome to new people coming in, but just to give a head's up.

And your gun is clean, operational and ready to fire. Good thing I didn't lose that bet, or I'd be paying for your first 50 rds... Whew...

But yeah, rock on kiddo. See you in 6 days.

Kris: Ok so i tried your way of breaking in a barrel over marks... cleaned it after every few shots without aiming then first shot quick aim on bulls eye and BAM dead on sorry mark kris way is better:)

Hi Jeff,

Glad to see that my method worked out for you. It's based off of metallurgical principles, but that's about it.

Pancakes, eh? Well, someone's got some cooking to do when she gets back in here :p Looks like someone's going back to the kitchen, although we both know you're a great chef.

And now I'm off to go shoot something. Take care kiddies.

Jeff: the reason your first shot is accurate is likely because you have forgoten about the recoil of the gun during the cleaning time, and because you have temporarily forgotten about the recoil you don't have a flinch. As soon as you put a couple of rounds through this flinch gets worse and so does your accuracy. Kris' barrel break-in method is for potential longevity, and although I agree with him, practically speaking it really makes no difference which method you use. Then again I am pretty lazy, and in the end its best to use whatever works great for you. Anyway maybe I'll see you at the range this weekend. Dammit I need more time for the project, its driving me batsh*t insane.
