:) actually i don't flinch anymore - i more so have a reaction of omg this 30-40 cents each time i pull this trigger?
but I won't see you this weekend i went today and yesterday but that's my last time for the next week or so i'll be pretty busy in the next couple weeks. have a tournament this weekend too.

Marky-Mark, you are correct my friend. Longevity for the fact that for some guns parts either are no longer made (WWII collection of sniper rifles), or that simply they are too hard to come by (BRS-99, H&K, etc).

ex-Meathead, she most likely knows I'm kidding (please don't castrate me Cassie), and that she IS damn fine in the kitchen. Mmm Mmm cupcakes, even if I did get the ### penguin.

It's a shame you don't have the ATT Jeff. It's so sweet travelling around Western Canada with all my guns... Oh yeah... Isn't that right Mark?

Hey Cass, at $0.40, that is close to shooting at the mall. When you come down, I think we'll try a few places to go shooting, not just the mall. That way you can get a good feel for the cost of ammo around here.

And.... We are going to have to buy you some cleaning tools and supplies! Yay! Don't worry, it won't be to expensive.

Anyways, cleaning supplies won't be that bad. Seriously. And since you don't shoot every day, they will last a very long time. Oh, the benefits of being a university student ;)

Cass, don't worry about reloading. That's a long ways away, and the setup for that, if you want good equipment it is big $$. Put it this way, even in my wildest dreams, I am incapable of affording to do reloads while in school.

Other than that, you have what, 4 more days? 3 is it?

That's crap if I ever heard of it! The majority of shooters reload for cost reasons.

Find another range.

Hey Petra,

In Edmonton, there are 2 ranges for university students unless we, the students, are absolutely rich. Wild West, which is a short bus ride and we have to buy their ammo (I know because I work there on the weekends to afford university), or Phoenix Range, which is more expensive to even arrive to and the yearly range pass is $300, 3x more than Wild West. No vehicles tends to make traveling across cities into industrial zones hard to accomplish on a good day. $200 will get almost 8 trips to the gun range. That's almost 5 to 6 months worth of shooting for us university students.

I don't think you understand Petra, that Cass is in University, along with I, and that in a small apartment with little to no money to even go shooting anyways, trying to start reloading is beyond impractical. Unless people are just giving away reloading equipment for free, I doubt that this is "crap", as you put it.

No income + no time to reload + no equipment = using factory ammo at a shooting center once every month or so.

Work wasn't bad. Got Mark's plans for the Masterkey or whatever it is he's calling it nowadays. Although I did miss your smiling face and strange demeanor.

I understand that Petra has a point. Unfortunately, it isn't feasible, that's all. It's nice to say "just reload because it's so much cheaper", and I do recognize that it is. However, I do not have the hundreds of dollars to spend on equipment and supplies when I can pay $25 for 50rds that will last me easily 3 to 4 weeks. Last I checked with Cassie, just having breakfast on the odd weekend a month ($12/meal) was pressing for both our bank accounts.
 
Or you get a friend that has the equipment and borrow it :) then again - you'd still need the powder shells etc... :S
 
Reloading components AREN'T 'explosive' and ARE less dangerous than compressed bottles - propane, butane, spray paint, etc.

Overall, smokeless powder is even more stable and less dangerous than gasoline, and other common household chemicals.
