Desert tech A2 or M2 Covert. But... it doesn't make the 3K price limit. It's a bullpup so it may or not work for the OP. Still, 16-22" 308 barrels. 6.5 CR, 300, 338LM all available in kits and you don't have to change your scope/rings. One rifle to do it all.. That's it.

You don't want to reload...but you want an accuracy guarantee...and you don't want "ammo-pickiness"? Well...tough. If you don't want to reload, you will find the Cross is likely accurate enough with just about any factory load you feed it, but you can't reasonably expect it to shoot its best with every load on the shelf. Some will inevitably shoot better than others. If you want the best accuracy out of it, you need to find its favourites. That's not being picky; it's just a fact of life with rifles. My Cross shoots very well with just about anything, and exceptionally well with a few chosen favourite factory loads and its favourite hand loads. Honestly, what more can you expect?
If you really insist that the rifle be a laser-accurate tackdriver with just about any load...perhaps there's a slightly better chance of approaching that goal with the DD Delta 5 Magnum Pro Deluxe whatchamacallit...maybe...and does it really matter if your One Rifle weights almost 12 pounds...plus scope...plus ammo? That won't affect your enjoyment of it...will it...? Nah...

have been eyeing the Daniel Defense Delta 5 Pro Precision Rifle, 16.0" Cold Hammer Forged Barrel, Black, 308 Win tbh

You need a Battue dude! A do all rifle needs a good set of open sights. Get your favourite stock. A solid removable mount (Masi), and some nice glass. That’ll be around 3k probably. I like wood and found a nice take off for $250, and put a 4x FXII in the masi mount, so only about 2k all in. A McMillan and better glass will hit 3k in a hurry, but you get the idea. It’s my do everything rifle.

I think that KRG Chassis will kill your weight criteria. They’re not exactly what I’d call ergonomic. I found the fit and finish to be a bit cheaper, plastic had sharp edges and the grip was too fat imo. I had one and wasn’t a fan. I think the MDT XRS is a nicer setup, more ergonomic, customizable and all around comfier, but again not real light as they start at 3.9lbs depending on inlet. Granted if you run a 16” or 20” pipe like you intend it might make up for it. But those chassis are
If I was you, and had 3k to burn on bare rifle, I’d probably go one of 2 ways.
1) save some $$ on the chassis/stock and buy a KRG bravo like you said. Then I’d buy a nice custom action, lots of options out there. Defiance are on sale at GoBig right now, the tenacity for the price point is very nice, slicker than a tikka, with a 700 footprint. Ultimatum is having a Black Friday sale, they’re Canadian made actions. KS Arms is also a good option, I have an SAR 3 lug that I love. And either have a smith throw you on a pipe in 308 or buy a prefit. The bonus to that is you can pick your contour of barrel, have it threaded whatever pitch you want (1/2x28, 5/8x24 that would be my pick) and then down the road upgrade the stock/chassis. This route if you shop around, especially this time of the year with Black Friday and Boxing Day not far away, you could potentially keep it right around that 3k mark. $1500 for action. $800 for barrel. $500 chassis and $150 trigger. Bobs your uncle.
2) Or find me a nice AG Composties Adjustable Hunter for the barreled action you want whether that be a tikka or rem 700. GoBig Tactical has them on Black Friday sale, I can’t remember what inlets though. Bighorn Gun Parts also usually stocks them. Throw Hawkins M5 bottom metal in so you can run AICS mags. Then buy your donor rifle, throw the barreled action in and go. This route would probably be the cheaper option. These stocks run $1300-$1500. Yes you might spend $1200 on the gun, but at least you could sell factory stock and recoup some costs. You’d definitely be under 3k, 8lbs, and if you go rem 700 way, down the road use that stock if you like it for a future build like option 1. At least you have it, and the resale on a nice stock like that in a 700 footprint is good, you won’t lose a pile of money should you choose to move onto a new project.

Cool to see more options in this style, and I like the bronco on paper. Unless something has changed BCL rifles are reaaaal rough.
