I have one for my G17 - its pretty accurate and fun to shoot as well. (not suitable for reloads)

The Lasermax guide rod lasers are pretty trick too.

Just joking. Ive seen Chromed slides on G17's and G19's at the range. Bright chrome plated.

You can also get flames etched on te Slide:

As far as "pimping" your G22 you have lots of options. In terms of shooting your G22 I would stick to OEM night sights, 3.5llb trigger and maybe OEM extended mag release for the 10 extra mags you should have and cases of 40S&W that you should be shooting at the range :)

Ive tried Wolff springs, Heinie sights, Tru Dot sights and always go back to OEM Glock parts. But YMMV
Ive also tried the LaserMax and want one for the G19!

Nope, I have owned the gun for 3 days and put 2 boxes through her at the outdoor already. I like dressing up my guns, 4x4's, quad's etc and then I put them to use. The only safe queen I have is the black powder. She only come out for hunting season.

you're a collector/poser not a shooter. Two boxes barely covers one drill. Your pistol is a tool and if you don't intend to use it as such, you're a collector. Dressing up a firearm for the pure enjoyment of visual aesthetics is posing. Modifications should serve a purpose or solve a problem. With the exception of night sights none of the mods recommended are of any value.

Pimping a Glock... well that's funny!

If you feel the need to spend money...

- Get better sight. I really like Sevigny Competition sight set.

- Get a conversion kit. It allows you to practice on the cheap.

LECase-w-cleaning-mdm.jpg

- Get more magazines (There's no such thing as too many magazines)

- Get a nice holster.

- Get a progressive press (There's no such thing as too much ammo)

Just my 2 cents,
Mike

i will NOT convert my glock to a .22, cheap doesnt change the fact that .22 is a completely different round

im not a poser, i love guns, if that makes me a poser than this site is full of them.

i used the term "pimp my glock" because its so frequently used in this day and age i figured some of you would get a laugh out of it, instead its used a corner stone for some insults to other members, and myself

i wanted to "modifiy" my glock with al the best parts, making it the ULTIMATE glock, i dont want to be an ultimate shooter.. 3 shots center mass is good enough for me, thats the extent of professionalism i need.

Thanks to pavehammer and all those who actually replied with usefull information

piss off to all those that said modifying a gun, or owning more than one makes us posers. theres no room on CGN for people like you

And anyone know where i can get .40 cal by the 1000's? ive specifically purchased all my handguns in .40cal so i dont need to bring 4 types of ammo to the range

Easy Sparky! Some of the comments were directed at other CGN members - not you in particular.

I bought from Marstar with good results - although they are currently out of stock.

A Hogue slip-on-grip is always a nice addition - it doesn't really pimp it out, but it makes shooting a lot more comfy.

Uhh ok? At what range, at what speed, from what position are you referring? Oh hold on, I bet the answer is "I don't know because I pulled that out of thin air." Glocks are fine out of the box. This might come as a surprise to you and many others but the gun is not the issue its the user. Most who shoot handguns lack in the skills dept. The standard answer to the "software" problem is a "hardware" fix such as the aftermarket crap suggested in this thread.

If you don't want to hear criticism than don't ask for advice. Furthermore, grow some thicker skin. As for large quantities of ammo, check out BDX ammo. Good stuff and reasonably priced.

You are a narrowminded judgemental piece of work man. So now you are going to follow me post to post to talk crap about me?? Get a life, you don't know #### about me. You have an issue then PM me and grow up.

+100

If you want to "pimp you gun" just sell it and go get a spray tan, pop your collars, and drink some Hennesy and Coke.

A real stud would pimp himself and spend the money on skills, lessons, and ammo.

But those birdman sights where hilarious!

I call them as I see them. I don't know much about you but I do know this. "I like dressing up my guns, 4x4's, quad's etc and then I put them to use." Which tells me you probably spend more time and money "dressing up" your toys than actually using them. You're more concerned with how you and your toys look than how you perform with them. Putting image above performance is a clear sign that someone is either a poser or collector.

There's nothing wrong with being a collector or a poser. What I do have an issue with are people who champion their guns/gear/accessories/skills without supporting their choices with logic and hard fact.

I don't follow anyone in any forum. The amount of ignorant or ill informed posts on this forum provide for a target rich environment.

Pimping a Glock???

Personally, I forget the pimp job & spend the money on ammo.... ;)

You can't do much to improve the appearance of a Glock anyway. :p

When you get 30,000 + rounds thru yours it might look like this one I've been shooting without a hitch since early 1995. Plain vanilla but still 'works':

Why do you want to have the ultimate glock if you dont want to be the ultimate shooter?

If you really wanted the word ultimate to sit side by side with glock you would not have bought a .40, you would have bought a 9mm.

Software problems for sure.

OK< we will let Pimp Your Glock slide as just a phrase.

Do some research. If you aren't putting a zillion rounds through your glock you will find most professional full time instructors, and I say this not for celeb factor, but because they see a half million rounds go down range a year, would tell you a out of the box glock is probably as reliable as it comes.

Clint Smith said IIRC and paraphrasing "When looking at the people who have problems with the glock on the range when it is not operator error it usually turns out to be modified.

So after sitting on a waiting list for a year for lessons, paying 500 a day , you end up sitting there f#$ing with your chrome plated flame jobbed "IROC" extended this, custom that "Camaro glock" frankenpistol while Clint goes on with the class ignoring you for being a retard for bringing a non-tested non working weapon to his range Terminator....

PS...

Back to software:

If 3 rounds centre of mass is good enough for you, maybe you do need training. 3 rounds into armor, or flinching like hell with youg .40 that you have only put 300 rounds through, may not stop someone. Since you are throwing "centre of mass" out there... Then If you are without a change in your sight picture after 2 shots means you maybe should have put round 3 into a different zone.

Centre of mass is for non-diagostic shooters who don't have the budget or time to practice... Rookies and Recruits.

Shooters, not patrolman, think about headshots and pelvic girdle.

As such "Pimping your Glock" should be left for lifejacket wearing sideways shooting homies...

Are you the guy that lives in the city with the big jacked up truck with all the chrome and big tires? Or the guy "dressed up" with the MMA shirts because he watches the shows but doesnt ever go to the gym?

That is "Dressing up".

wow you got jumped all over, i think a few guys here are taking this thread a little to serious... I think this guy just wanted to make his glock a little more unique, no biggy. I'm with you man, to me its a "man toy" and a tool. I put a little money into my guns for some cosmetic appeal, so what? I can also say its not like i choose accessories over ammo. I go to the range as much as I can, I'm also very competitive with myself and I work on getting better.... Just because I have the funds to add alittle appeal to my guns doesn't mean I'm a poser, I'd call myself an enthusiast. Anyway to the OP, visit...
