Help me pimp my glock22!

Sure... I hear ya...

But toys and tools are tools are two different things I think. One is made to make you feel happy. The other is made to accomplish a mission.

What good is the "ultimate glock" without the ultimate skills?

I got my g17 with night sights, the only modification I made was an extended mag release, and its not overly required. Oh, and I put in a plug just behind the mag to keep dirt out.

The only other thing I have considered doing is changing the trigger pull, right now its all 8 lbs. I figure, if I can ever shoot less than 4" groups at 25 meters, than I will upgrade.

I let my skill progression determine what upgrades I need for the most part.

wow you got jumped all over, i think a few guys here are taking this thread a little to serious... I think this guy just wanted to make his glock a little more unique, no biggy. I'm with you man, to me its a "man toy" and a tool. I put a little money into my guns for some cosmetic appeal, so what? I can also say its not like i choose accessories over ammo. I go to the range as much as I can, I'm also very competitive with myself and I work on getting better.... Just because I have the funds to add alittle appeal to my guns doesn't mean I'm a poser, I'd call myself an enthusiast. Anyway to the OP, visit...

Again, altering your gear for cosmetic appeal screams poser. For anyone serious about mastering their firearm or enhancing their skills, cosmetic appeal has nothing to do with it. Modifications should improve performance or rectify a problem. Chrome slides, extended controls, flashy paint jobs, engraved slide plates do nothing but add visual stimuli.

I agree with you. People should lighten up a bit. I do think some people purposely stir the pot because they know they will get a reaction. You can have a nice looking gun and also be an excellent marksman. Just like being a muscular good looking guy with brains and money.(not trying to say that's me but I hear rumours! LOL)

How about a new slide plate cover? I have a scorpion because it's my sign...

I call them as I see them. I don't know much about you but I do know this. "I like dressing up my guns, 4x4's, quad's etc and then I put them to use." Which tells me you probably spend more time and money "dressing up" your toys than actually using them. You're more concerned with how you and your toys look than how you perform with them. Putting image above performance is a clear sign that someone is either a poser or collector.

There's nothing wrong with being a collector or a poser. What I do have an issue with are people who champion their guns/gear/accessories/skills without supporting their choices with logic and hard fact.

I don't follow anyone in any forum. The amount of ignorant or ill informed posts on this forum provide for a target rich environment.

So it's ok that I'm a poser as long as I admit it? :D

Voodooss, have fun pimpin that Glock. As long as you're not breaking the law, do whatever the hell you feel like with that pistol. If it wasn't for the toys for big boys factor half of this forum would dry up and blow away. Each to their own.

I have upgraded the internals to lower the trigger pul to just above 5 pounds. Extended mag release. and will upgrade sites as well. I did buy the conversion kit as it allows be to practice for cheap, using the same trigger pull and frame angle ext... Also gripped tapes the grips some.

The only worthy internal upgrade is the Vickers extended mag release. Much better than the analogous Glock product. That's it. Get a case of ammo instead.

The .22 conversion? Do you mind me asking how much that cost and what exactly in including in the kit/how long it takes to change over.

I got mine from CGN a couple years ago. The stock kit I think is in the 350-400 range. Comes with 2 mags.

Change over is seconds. Act prove Glock. Remove slide as if cleaning and replace with 22 cal slide. After that your ready to rock and roll. Talking less then ten seconds

50calshooter "Some cosmetic things, im still waiting on my stainless barrel..."

Tell me, do any of these modifications improve your marksmanship skills?

Of course not when did I say they did???? Whats your deal man why do you care so much if people put some cosmetic things on there firearms. Its not like I'm going around saying, "oh you definitely need this s**t, it makes the gun way better and all that" and its also not like I'm bragging about my skills either, I go to the range 2-3 times a week jus for pistols and I'm always trying to get better.... A little unique thats all...

Oh ya and the thread says, "help me pimp my glock" so I asummed both cosmetic and functional changes...
