Help me pimp my glock22!

Yes, lets let the personal attacks that "aren't personal attacks" stop. I am not the only person I see now that has had to suffer through the BS postings. We all enjoy firearms and if we all stuck together instead of pissing off people in their posts we would have a more united front and possibly be taken more serious with the issues we ALL face.
TDC: you need to relax. I imagine you as someone that scares off new shooters by acting like a gun-nazi, making people fear guns instead of embracing them. Do you put rims on your car because they increase your fuel mileage? no you do it because they look ####ing cool. Do you put exhaust on your truck because it makes you go faster? (some do, most lose hp)
Or you don't put special rims on your car at all unless they serve a purpose...
It's a forum, not a support group. And to say TDC is "dividing the shooting community" is ridiculous. Sure he has a different opinion. If you don't like it, dont post on a public forum.
There is value in his thoughts about "upgrading" rather than "pimping". Sure you can use the word "the same" but if it doesn't upgrade the gun, each will have their own opinion.
Some might consider the pretty safe queen gun the pinnacle of cool. Others might think a glock with stainless steel parts is kinda like a black Hummer with chrome parts and spinning rims... A waste, IMHO Very Metrosexual... lol.
Especially if it never is driven.
Others will think "pimped" is making it a good shooter, not pretty. It is pretty well established that unlike a 1911, glocks are best when closest to stock IMHO. A 1911 takes and enjoys lots of tinkering, modifications, and adjustments.
So, like someone posted above. Pimping in my mind is what makes it shoot better. I dont wan't an extended mag release... I only want the mag coming out when I want it to. I don't want an extended slide "release" because I find people with "fat fingers" ride the slide, and sometimes stop the action from locking open. Especially if you have an extended release.
If you were really "pimping" you'd have some tritium, or Heinie Straight eights on it...
Not "ear rings" and makeup.

It's just hard to take a "combat" pistol or shooter seriously when they want "bling" on the pistol. It's like wearing flashing lights with camouflage....
But if you want to by ammo instead of accessories, or have a ton of ammo ready.... lets hang out and shoot.

my glock is 'tricked' not pimped...runs like a top 100% of the time.
My Colt 1911 is pimped 'old school'.
I liked bling...I like my guns, dog, MotoX and ladies good looking. But they also gotta work well.
Glocks are hard to bling out but it certainly can be done. Check out Glocktalk.com for ideas

TDC seems like a douch bag. The guy probably has a ponytail, works in an office all day, wears "tuff guy" fingerless gloves, and doesnt have any real life friends because everyone sees him as the cranky ##### with perma menapaus. And we are all aware his sig is TDC, which h strangly repeatedly puts at the bottom of every post.

I see your point, however you've taken my posts all wrong. I have posted many times before and I will say it again. Do what you want to your firearms, they are yours after all. Don't add bling and other useless trinket based crap to your firearm then act like your gear is setup for some bada$$ work or that it is indeed "tactical". The bottom line is most firearms owners are just that, owners. They are not shooters, they spend very little time actually mastering their gear as opposed to pimping it out with more and more inappropriate accessories that neither solve a problem or improve performance. For the ones who can avoid accessorizing they fall into the other category of firearms owners that possess the tools but not the skills. If you think for a moment that any of your firearms will be your "go to" during bad times or the bump in the night. You need professional training and a seriously altered mindset. If you believe that your many years shooting IPSC/IDPA/PPC/varmints/ or big game hunting will "see you through" you're in for a rude awakening.
Modifications or accessories that serve a purpose can be justified and argued successfully as necessary. Modifications or accessories that serve no defined purpose cannot be justified and clearly serve no other purpose than to pose.
As for my posts being viewed as "god like behavior" that is an individual perception not one I have created. I tell it like it is and call them as I see them. Too many people confuse lying(or white lies) as being polite. I call it being spineless. You ask a question I'll give you an answer.
As for all my posts ending with TDC its called a SIGNATURE. Some people sign their name to things they are responsible for or support. The ad hominem attacks by some indicate they have neither the intelligence to understand the topic at hand or simply don't want to accept that their selection in gear or beliefs is for posing.

I can see you've been around longer than I have, so Im sure you bring alot of good ideas and comments to the boards, this is just not your topic. The same way I dont post on any revolver threads. I dont like revolvers, I dont need to tell everyone I think their revolver is ugly. I just dont open the thread. Simple as that.
voodooss, Nice Glock, I have a G17 with the punisher back plate. I don’t plan on pimping it out anymore.
