Does anyone here not take apart their rifle as soon as they get it?
I know I do! Figuring out the mechanism works is half the fun of a new rifle for me.

Well its 2am and i finally finished cleaning this son #####.
I couldnt remove the barrel and everything from the wood, damn norcs but i took the gun apart as much as i could. I soaked the barrel half of the gun and the stock and action part of the firearm in boiling water mixed with dawn soap.
30 minutes later all the greese was off. I wiped the gun down, and washed it again in cold water. Hand and air dried everything. Oiled up the action barrel etc. Wood oil on the stock and put it together.
Just to make sure i out everything together right i cycled a couple rounds and it worked pretty good.
I am very pleased with my self, took me 2 and a half hours but i got the job done.
Thank you to everyone for your advice and support.
Hey,
I just bought a norc .22 lever gun online. I have so many questions and hopefully someone can help me.
When the gun came it came in a box with orangey yellow goop all over it. It smells funny and really sticky. It it is all over the gun, even the inside workings of it .
How do i clean it out? What do i clean it out with? The manual it came with was covered in the goop and it is unreadable.
If you can give me step by steps what i should do and maybe a list of things i need to get this job done i will be forever grateful. When i am done i will post pics.
Thanks,
Becca

I am surprised that nobody suggested the dishwasher.
Was it a private sale, or is a Dealer stocking these again?
Nice work Sig Girl!
Keep your eye out for a deal on a cheap air compressor.....they make cleaning and oiling the inner hard to reach areas a lot easier!
How do you like your Nork Lever action? The recent ones look pretty nice...
I like it so far. Makes me feel like a cowboy when i run the action.
I have an air compressor, how would it aid me in cleaning gunk of future rifles?

Hey Sig Girl, now that you've cleaned it, have you fired it? I decided to get one from Moreguns, too. I'm having the occasional feeding problems. Ran into any of those? Also, which model did you get? My didn't come with a manual and it says JW-21A on the side.
Why buy a Chinese badly built copy of a firearm that for a bit more money you can get the real thing and peace of mind? If there is anything that buying cheap and getting unreliable can have disastrous consequences on it is a firearm.
