i tried to buy a sr9 and they wouldnt sell it to me without an att
wtf? You get the ATT AFTER you buy the gun. That's how you get it home or to the range.
Maybe you meant without a membership?

Yeah go see the process involved in getting in, and how long you will have to wait!
Then come join Silverdale! LOL
Actually, the with our walk-in process, we're turning about 20-odd members per course and the average new member completes their observation period in under a month.
Its a great club and it has its advantages. But I'd rather be shooting at 9:00pm on a week night November to March (in a light sweater) than sitting at home on the computer.Which is why so many of our members join both. The clubs are quite complementary.

where are you located?
ontario, but i was trying to order from a shop in bc.
he asked do you have a club membership and i replied no still looking around. then asked if i had an att to which i replied no and he said he couldnt sell it to me until i have an att and membership
What two clubs do your members join? Silverdale and What? Thank you in advance for all your help.
The biggest problem is Burlington has a major rep for being seriously anal... that turns off a pile of people.. whom prefer the straight forward no BS of Silverdale.
So when is the next opening for your new members course? I know it is months away, but yes you can come and hope that someone doesnt show up. Problem is if I live an hour away Im not gonna drive 2 hours just to find out that everyone scheduled to show up did and there isnt a spot for me.
Is there not scheduled events and practices almost every weeknight?
While BRRC does have a more restrictive entry policy, its also not a for-profit-range. Different operating model and costs. And if you take the time to look, after Silverdale, BRRC has the least restrictive policies of any range in the GNA or the western GTA. And you can shoot by yourself. So the reputation for being anal is unwarranted if you do the research.
Im a member of the Frontenac pistol and rifle club and even though i had proof i was a member of a range , i had to purchase the pistol first , then they completed the transfer , sent the temporary to SFRC , took it home , then they send you a long term ATT from your range . Thats what was involved in my situation .
So you can join a gun club out west, while living in Ontario, for $30? And then pay drop in fees? Interesting...
