Lol..... I won't question your marksmanship skills, since I know you practice other disciplines....
That being said, here are some additional "costs".....
1- your time, time is money
2- butchering (either you do it yourself or you pay someone to do it), your time or money..
3- the cost of your .270 setup divided amongst how many deer you shoot
4- time spent scouting and researching
5- peripherals (wrap, knives, tape etc....)
Yes I did leave out a few things
1- My hunting trips are also the only Vacation I have all year.
2- The wife uses an ancient hand grinder to grind all the meat.
3- My setup was about 1000ish and I never actually took that into consideration. So that just upped my cost a whole bunch...lol...
4- I hunted on private property in Greenwood with everything setup , And My friend who got posted out of comox sent me the coordinates to his hunting cabin he built in the bush when I got posted here so no effort was needed for that one either.
5- I have most of that stuff for the other shooting sport I practice / and all my camping gear, so I wouldn't call that extra costs since I enjoy that stuff more then hunting. . Well maybe the binos
As you can see im probably one of the laziest SOB's when it comes to hunting. I spend more time looking for LR shooting spots in the bush...lol... One day If I get posted where I dont know anyone it might suck. But I dont see that happening.
I appreciate more the time spent with my family around the campfire. No WiFi No phones it's pure heaven.
