Homemade case lube - help

Question for you home brew case lube afcionados:

How do you keep it from separating? What am I doing wrong?

I heated lanolin and 99% IPA 1:8 and mixed thoroughly, but every time it cools, the lanolin settles to the bottom.

Any tips?

I have never tried mixing my own case lube. I use "Mink Oil" and find it better than any other thing I have used.

You may have too much lanolin in the mix I use a 1:12 and just shake it up in a plastic bottle before each use.

Yeah I saw some recipes at 4:1, 8:1, and 12:1, so went for the middle ground. You're likely right though.

I'm sure that is good as well, but it costs a lot more than some of the other alternatives.
