Horse or Quad or Jeep. Witch would u want ?

Quad.

Haulin gas once a year is fine. Cleaning horse dung 365 is not....

Besides, once you have the quad, a snow plow is just the thing for Canadian Winters.

Have a quad and put it to good use. I am allergic to animal dander quite bad but still I wish I could have done some back country trips on horses.
There is no limit where you can go with a horse in FLUZ zones. With determination you can get a long ways on foot and not worry about any of the hassles.

Quad for me!!! I love my Honda with mudlites and a winch no problems:rockOn: I would love to go on a horse back hunt someday though. The old bushman my Dad bought his camp off of in N.Ont. shot over 40 moose from horseback.

You guys ever think what the horse will do when you fire a Gun off his back??? JITC

Most horses would freak out an buck you off or just bolt.

Those of us who ride and have conditioned our horses to gun fire won't have the slighest problem.

2-3 horses can drag any downed beast out of the bush no problem., done it before and will do it again.

You get to have your very own personal rodeo with you as the starring saddle bronc rider...

(It depends on the horse.)

rightly so- some ponies you shoot from the back while mounted, some not- it helps if they're deaf or used to loud noises like traffic- it's the reins that give guideance to the horse- by the same token, that darned fool animal can wander into the shot

i prefer my feet. that said, a quad is great for getting to the trailhead or retrieving game in a lot of country. horses can't be beat for game retrieval in rougher country though or for packing in luxuries.

maybe the best thing in the mountains might be to lead a mule like those old prospectors used to.

Some of us have all our bases covered because...

...no motorized vehicles allowed here...

...quicker to use the quad at home than saddling up our horses...

...but sometimes our Sahara YJ has it's place too...

...and then there's always the old pickup/quad combo...

...and of course my future son-in-law's method...

Yep, Your horse says AYE?? instead of Neigh when you talk to him.:D

The rider that tries this learns a lesson he can learn no other way.
