How many 10/10 mags would you buy?

I would buy none, simply because it's stupid to take advantage of loopholes, especially when the law is so complicated and the police can take all your stuff in the name of public safety.

Sure you're not really doing anything wrong, and you'll get your chance to prove it, while your stuff sits in lockup waiting for a court date.

You don't use LAR-15 mags then?

The LAR magazines received approval prior to being marketed. The ruling was not universally supported at Mountie Headquarters.

Perhaps it would be worth contacting the principals involved in the FIT'S RIFFLE scheme, and find out why it went off the rails.
If they would tell you.

As per Bulletin 72 the CONCEPT got approved... not the LAR mags.

LAR mags are for the LAR-15 pistol.

Care to share where the XCR pistol mag approval letter might be found??? The LAR mags are mentioned as a specific example in the RCMP letter, along with colt mags in a camp carbine. Not as an exception or loophole, just one of many possible examples. Nobody marks Glock mags differently because they fit in a Kel-tec Carbine or a Kriss Carbine.

I am referring to the letter received by Questar from the RCMP when the got the LAR magazine approved for use in rifles. It has been widely circulated.
Bulletin 72, which details the concept, refers to the LAR magazine in addition to others.

Sure, my point exactly. They referenced it in Questar's letter because Questar made it a point about specifically asking about the LAR mag itself. The Bulletin has a wider scope as it aims to clarify ALL issues regarding magazine status confusion. The debate about AIA mags is covered by that bulletin. A production run of AIA mags, with the addition of the script on the side like an LAR or XCR pistol mag wouldn't be any different. The fact that the AIA mags are already legal just bolsters this.

Its not a loop hole.. its the way the law was written debated then passed.

The job of the CFO is to follow that law regardless of what they think but they do what they want anyways law or no law. In order for them to say public saftey they have to have a valid reason just saying so and so owns guns can open them up to a lawsuit costing them money in the long run.

I have no clue what actual costs would be or if these will make it into production...as with most manufacturing, the more that are produced, the less expensive they will be until a certain price point/absorption ratio is acheived for the company to actually make a few bucks.

Keep in mind these are 10 round mags for the AIA bolt action rifle.........;)

I sugested 80 bucks and they said way to much he didn't want to rip people off I did say HK makes magazines for 200 each it will depened on cost to import ect. He wants to set a fair price so it should be 40-80 range but depends on cost

He borrowed my gun to look at it to see why the magazine was legal ect spoke with the RCMP did all the work sent 1 of my own magazines to the company to see if they can make the product exactly the same way as the orginal. I suggested 20 round magazines since they just longer but he said no he will just do 10 for now and see how it goes. He didn't want to invest allot of money into the prodject and turn around and have it seized at the border.

I would be in for 8-10 20/20 if they are $50 or under. $75 for a ten round is way high.

As long as they match my factory AIA mags.

This should be the case.
This is why the collapse of the FIT'S RIFFLE project is curious.

Spoke with the RCMP, or got it in writing?
