How many 10/10 mags would you buy?

Fit's riffle?

There was a big debacle about a company that tried producing these at one point...their literacy was lacking to say the least when they labelled the mags but the whole thing got shut down for some reason. I believe it was before the ruling on the LAR mags etc.

Someone marked the magazines "FIT'S AIA BOLTACTION 7.62MM RIFFLE".
Apart from illiteracy, something went wrong, and the project failed.
Don't know why.
One story is that the RCMP squashed it.
But who knows?

Why write "fits" on it? Riffle is just funny but "fits" is what causes the issue most likely. An M14 mag "fits" in many things but its an M14 mag still. Leave the word "fits" out and just label it as what it should be.

"Fits" isn't on the LAR and XCR pistol mags for a reason. Legal definitions make it a sticky troublesome word.

Is it a bolt action mag, or does it just fit a bolt action rifle and it was made for something else? Leaves it open the wrong way.

No no, they were just made for a guy named Fits! :D

Bingo.
"FIT'S" is a possessive form.
Maybe the magazines were made for the FIT company's riffle, therefore FIT'S AIA BOLTACTION 7.62MM RIFFLE.;)

There never was an adequate supply of AIA magazines imported with the rifles.
Now that AIA has folded, there won't be any new ones coming from that source.
Perhaps the company who made the magazines for AIA could be contacted, and magazines ordered from them.

The classification of a magazine is based on the firearm for which it is designed and manufactured.
With all this wink, wink, nudge, nudge, going on, could it be argued that these magazines are actually being designed and manufactured to be used in M-14 type rifles? Just being devil's advocate.

I think it is fair to say that 10/10s would sell well at under $50 and 20/20s would fly off the shelves. If these are indeed a custom run why not go for the gold and make some 20 rounders for our AIAs?

What's with the people that think $75.00 is steep for a hard to get mag? Obviously cheaper would be better but lets be realistic here! Do we actually want these mags or not? Put me down for about 10.

What wink wink? AIA mags fit in M14s. So what? There are differences in the two mags albeit minor ones. The small square cut outs on the M14 mags fit the Oprod Spring Guide which the AIA mags don't. Sure they jam in the M14 but it isn't ideal. Sacrifice a little bit of accuracy by adding pressure to the guide for the extra rounds.

Maybe a mag adapter for the Rem 700 308 mags would work for ya.

It was made for the bolt action rifle only.

Here is a video compareing the factory magazine and the AIA magazine.

Wouldn't it make sense to find out from the principals in the FIT'S RIFFLE project what went wrong, and why the thing got derailed? The market is obviously there, @ $50 a pop retail.
