how many .22's do you own? And why? (hunting/Collecting etc..)

10/22 bone stock - first gun
Mk. II 5.5" bull bbl with some aftermarket work done before I purchased it.

Looking for an old Marlin 39A, and probably another 10/22

BSA Supersport 5
Cooey 75
One belonged to each of my grandfathers, neither of whom are still with us. Needless to say they are not going anywhere

Lakefield Mark II
Ruger 96
Thompson Center Benchmark
Ruger 10/22 - I almost can't admit it

Argh! That rat bastard Hitzy has forced, (forced I say son.... :p ) me to buy a Schultz and Larsen M70. :D

Better edit my original post too.

One .22 LR bolt action rifle that was made in Canada interestingly enough (Savage Mark II)
And one US Pistol revolver made sometime between 1870 and 1872 firing .22 Short which has a smooth bore barrel that someone gave to me.

Savage bought the old Mosberg plant.....which bought the old Lakefield plant....which bought the old Winchester plant....which bought the old Cooey plant.... Cooey also made Rangers for Eatons and a few others.

They've been making rifles in Lakefield Ontario for quite a while, and the new Savage mrk II's with accutrigger are super accurate. Not quite the providence of Springfield, but they're ours.

Had no idea. Thanks for the info. Wish I didn't abuse it now. I paid maybe $100 for it.

I got it about five or six years ago. Not sure how long it was in the Walmart storeroom before that though.

A very cool bit of Canadianna.....now go buy a Longbranch Enfield No.4 mrk II, Diemeco AR-15, a Dlask AR15, a ParaOrd .45 and a Prairie Gun Work or ATR rifle. Despite what our politicians thing, there are lots of Canadian made guns.
