Sure... only if you're using an Auto disconnect. Simply, the vast majority of disconnects on the market are semi. I should have qualified my previous statement.

I only mention it because previously the easiest (only) way to get a FA safety (3 posn) was to buy a complete FA trigger mech. No one was selling just the safety. Early that has changed.

My range is handguns only but this spring I'm joining an outdoor rifle range. So i havent even got to try the thing out yet. Very curious to see how it operates or if I'll have to change the buffer or gas block. I just jumped on a 14" upper in 5.56 so i can make the most of the rifle with cheaper ammo as well.

If the burn rate is the problem, changing the powder is the solution. IS 300 blk out is designed to run in a short barrel as you say (i'm not convinced) then factory ammo will be made to ensure complete powder burn before 14", and probably just before 14". In reality most 300 blk ammo will still be throwing un burnt powder out of a 14" barrel.

Either way, you will not even be close to having lost most of the gas pressure by the 7" mark. If that were true, there would be no need for a suppressor.

Notwithstanding the fact that SKY52 is wrong about the pressure loss after 7", the answer to your question is easy: Inertia.

Would their flatwire spring and buffer setup be as quiet as the JP silent capture?

Not super concerned about accuracy but need a barrel as short as possible for this project. I had a 3" barrel on order with a z tech armory but Canada Customs rejected it three times so they gave up on importing it.

As soon as I'm able I'll answer your question, hopefully before christmas.

That's a fair point. I've been wanting to machine a brass lower and put on fancy wood furniture, like a modern day cowboy rifle. It's on the project list.
 
Nobody sells the m16 (full auto) safety selector anymore... never should have sold mine a year ago... crap. I wonder if a strike industries one can be made to spin around to the full auto postion... just for looks of course.

Is this a 3 position? Or just a different position then normal. possibly just the 3P in the part number maybe making it come up in a 3 position search
